Maybe if i was in THIS body forever and didn't get old.
And my loved ones also were with me so i didn't have to watch them all die around me without one day joining them.
And if i could die, just not get older. I would like to die one day. Just not get old.

I agree with BurnSide. Getting old is really scary.

I agree with Burnside and Disinterested. I'd only want to live forever if I was fit and healthy and my friends and family could also live forever

and yeh, I don't want to be old

I wouldn't want to live forever... epsecially if I had to deal with outliving every person I come to care about. Watching my Mom pass away at 48 from cancer was bad enough- I wouldn't be able to do that over and over again.
Beside, I think Life would lose a lot of its adventure, and wonder in the long run- I'd rather have short, but fun life than live a life that has lost all purpose and excitement.

I would like to be able to live for much longer that we do as humans. It seems like we finally get a little stability in our lives and then we are jsut about ready to take the long dirt nap...
A few hundred years would be nice I think, but not if I was to go alone...I wouldn't want to have to see friends and family die time and again, it would be too much to bare in my opinion.
If it was possible I would like to live long enough to see the progression of society over the next couple of hundred years.
Live forever? no, no thanks. I wouldn't want to see that much...I would like to have the time to learn more than we do in our short lives now, get a good understanding of several different careers, different cultures...take the time to search out the good things that this planet offers us...The way it is now, you go to school for the first 22 years of your life, bust your butt in several jobs until you hit retirement, and then get planted shortly thereafter...it isn't fair.

Live forever? Absolutely not!
And Fluffy, what you've been able to witness in your lifetime is incredible. We have never evolved, and maybe never will again, scientifically as much as we have in the last hundred years.
(Not that I'm saying you're a hundred darlin)

You probably wouldn't appreciate life if you knew that you weren't going to die.
There would never be those "once in a lifetime" opportunities lol

Nope, I wouldn't want to live forever. I want to have this life, make the most out of it, get heart broken, be happy, healty, sick, grow old, see my children grow up, the whole deal, and then die feeling content, that I did live my life. I don't want to know the future, I don't want to come back in any other way than as completely new being, not knowing that I've been here before. Even if I never came back, that'd be fine. Using one lifetime is big challenge enough, no need for eternity or other lives.

but what if u didnt know

what if you kept gettin close to death only to have a miraculous recovery

then after awhile you would just never get that close to death

and POOF instant long life

altho i guess it would get depressing after bout 100 life threatening experiences...

well to be completely honest with myself, yes!
see the thing is, after living a few hundred years, i would probably be gone mad, more than likely will attemp to kill myself, and then suddenly realize just before doing it, or while im actually lying there dying, that i still deep down have the burning desire to live another few hundred years, no matter how dreadful. and just as im losing consiousness forever, that desire would burn in me as hot and undeniable as ever!!

oh and ofcourse id want to keep my youthful body
plus, i like to believe in an immortal soul.

i wanna live forever. as long as i stay young. ilke my currant age, 14. that'd be sweet. but theyres the thing about when the earth finally ceases to exist. what would happen? we'd just float through space until we reached another planet i suppose.

you'd get sick of life when you'd lived too much of it so i would like to live for about 150 years in a body about 21 years old as long as friends and family could have the same.

I somewhat agree with fluffbunny . I would like to live to be about 500 years old , and age differantly as well ( so at 100 years I will look 20 . And then stay at around 25 years of age at 150-400 , then maybe start to slip into old age after 400 years have passed ) .
Dont want to live forever , but a bit longer would be nice .

I don't mind to 'live' forever. But imagining that I may feel that having seen, learned, experienced, understood and loved enough, I may want to have my consciousness fixed at a state of being content and peaceful some day. Like a particle in some mineral, to exist and be at ease. That is if I have to stay in this universe.

I would live until i feel like dying. When you say live forever do you mean never die of old age, or never die period? If i was immortal, it would be like the movie, "Groundhog Day", and i could drive a car off a cliff and not die.

Not forever maybe 150 years that would probably be plenty. Then it's time to go on to whatever comes next.

If I were to live forever; at the end of all time I'd still be trying to sneak an extra day in. So my answer is yes. I don't particularly care about the fine details of aging or taking someone with me; just bring on some sense on permanency to my existance..
And although it may be hard to lose family and friends, I've already seen that happen in my relatively short span of years and life still goes on regardless..
If I can deal with that in the limited time I'm allowed now I'm sure I could deal with it on a more long term basis just as well. Probably better actually, since although others deaths would sadden me; I'd be removed from dwelling on my own mortality..

If you can't get around working for a living with all of eternity to figure a way out of it; you probably shouldn't live forever..

well i don't want to live forever, saying that if you knew you were going to live forever you wouldn't have to waste money on food...so theres some money saved i guess, and you wouldn't need life insurance...

Has anyone heard about this really strange story, there was this guy that was getting pains in his body and went to the doctor to find out what was happening to him. The doctor diagnosed him with cancer and told him that he'd most probably kick the bucket in about 2 months time. More or less 2 months later the guy was in bet thin frail and dying. The doctor guy came in and told him he had made a mistake and the dude didn't realy have cancer that he had made a mistake. Two days later the guy was allready looking heaps better.
Here's another one. Another person was getting pains and was diagnosed with cancer and wouldn't live ou the year. Weird part, he laughed and said that he can't die yet because he had a family to look after, he was still allive 20 years later. How do you figure that

I dun know. But I know that, by comercial, there is this pill called "Ultimate HGH" which reverses aging. Phenomena? I don't know, I just saw this comercial, and it was a paid programming.
This explains somethingThis explains something elseIts a controversy and a miracle.
