Interesting question you're asking..

As far as I know, there isn't any reference for Olympics. And if there was in the original text, I'm sure it must have been "edited" throughout the centuries. Don't forget that the Olympics of the ancient times, were considered to be a paganistic practice..

I had no idea there was a connection, but there appears to be, wow!

Ezekial 13: 3-11

"Behold unto thee I verrily say; take the evil discus of satan and fling it to the nether regions of earth, do so and measure thy results. Thy love of the LORD shall be equated to the cubits seperating the devil discus and and the follower of the path of life and light."

Matthew 27: 9-10
"Only through acts of physical prowess shall thee prove worthy of eternal life. Jesus said onto all seeing eyes and open ears; I am the way and the light, only through my works and the celebrated pommel horse shall thy name be written in the book of life."

Revelation 3: 16-18
Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. Judgement by a panel of no less than 5 judges from lands afar shall judge thy acts upon thy track and thy field, and thy stadium event. If ye shall stumble upon the hurdles of life, ye shall receive a slower time; if thy shall not stick thy landing, repent thine own mistakes or receive a 2/10ths deduction. Let it be said, let it be done.

I was rather proud if it myself... tongue.gif

I apologize for confusing anyone, I had assumed I had made it enough over the top that folks would catch the joke, but I guess if you aren't very familiar with biblical text, it could seem legit enough...

Sorry about that...
