i think platformers are extrememly fun. i havent tried Prince of Persia yet, but i really want to. speaking of platformers only a little longer until Jak 3!!

Burnman, I'm gonna back up my cuz Sleepygrizz on Pikmin 2. Sleepy, Myself and another cousin of ours played the multiplayer in the game for a few hours, and almost caused us to get in a fist-fight. Sleepy got mad cause he kept gettin' stomped....badly...

Once you unlock challenge mode the game really picks up.

If you like shooters, get metal arms. I liked it better than Halo, cause you can hijack other bots.

And come on buddy, you gotta give Metroid Prime more than an hour. I can see where you might think it boring though. It's not a fast paced game compared to many others.

i have Metal Arms for GC. its so f***in awesome. the multiplayer is sweet and has a lot of variety in it.

the challenge mode in pikmin 2 is one of the most enjoyable multiplayer experiences in any game i've played

Damn, you guys should stop dissing Super Smash Bros. Melee. It is by far the most playable game I have ever played. I have racked up currently over 600 hours of power time on this game, and am currently playing very competitively. In fact, at least in America and Japan, there is an enormous competitive scene boasting an extremely high level of gaming.

This game has become my most played game of all time and by far the game I am best at. I am certain it is one of the best games ever made, and definitely one of the best (if not THE best) game on the Gamecube.

Plus, if I remember correctly, Smash Bros Melee came second in GameFAQ's best game ever competition. It was only beaten by FF7.

so did i. its not even close to being one of the best games ever made, and its certainly not the best game on the GC. Resident Evil is.

i wouldnt say ssbm is the BEST game, but it is quite good...some of the challenges are quite...um, challenging but i definitely wouldnt say it 'sucked ass'.

i would say the best game on GC (that i've played) would be metroid prime...and the RE games a close second.

i actualy kinda liked metroid prime. some of it was kinda boring, but it was ok.

It is a good first person shooter, especially with the third person ball perspectives and stuff.

I got really damn far, but lost interest having played for 6 hours and doing EXACTLY the same thing over and over.

I'll agree with that. The computer players are so stupid and easy to beat that it's ridiculous. Get yourself some real competition, and you'll find the game improves sooo much. Try this site if you want to find decent quality smash players who will absolutely own you.

Although I do respect your opinions, I disagree with them ^^

to all gamecube owners...the best, and one of the only RPG's on the system...tales of symphonia. loosely stat and item based. other good, definitely not great, but good ones...lost kingdoms i think theyre called...I and II...theyre ok.

yes a very good system! you can carry it around with you! its not a pain in the butt when you have to shlep it to your friends house! its good for games that you can just kick back and relax with like harvest moon and pikman goofy little games like that! but im still pissed at capcom for switching platforms

they didnt completly switch the platforms. they just decided that the GC was best to have the RE games that they wanted to make. and they were right.

now that i have a gc its not a huge issue anymore bout switching plats, its just a little harder to controll on gc then it was on ps. but as long as they are making RE games its alllll goood

Yeah. Resident Evils are still coming out on PS2, like Outbreak 2 is coming out soon!


But the simple fact is, capcom realised how limited the possibilities with the PS2 are, since it isn't nearly as powerful as the Gamecube, and with the Cube they were able to make MUCH better, MUCH bigger games with 15 times better graphics and playability etc.

GTA games aren't on GC at all. I don't know why, i guess Rockstar just doesn't like Nintendo for such games. Come to think of it, has Rockstar EVER released a game on Nintendo?

i think that GTA SA is really pushing PS2's limits, but the graphics a still pretty much the same so they had to sacrifice good graphics for a huge, great game

Graphics have never been the strong point in GTA games, playability has. PS2 has great playability don't get me wrong, and it can do ALOTl, but it lacks the graphics power GC has.

Maybe because the GC disks are so small they're unable to put as much onto them as GTA: SA needs.

Apparently theres a mountain which takes over 2 minutes real time to get to the top of in a chopper.

To put that into perspective, i could drive from The Pole Position Club to Downtown on the other island in 2 minutes real time.

That mountain is HUGE!!!! And when you get to the top, you can go down.... in style...
