little things, like when they make out, their lips dont touch...

little annoying things like that

Shakezulah
my friend has a demo of MGS3 and he said its terrible. and he really likes the first 2 games too. i hope he wrong. plus he said he played a demo of Re4 at walmart and he said its not as good as he thought it was gonna be. im not sure i believe him on that tho...
BurnSide
The RE4 demo has already gotten more amazing reviews than most videogames, i highly doubt he thought that. I suggest checking out the Walmrt yourself, the demo isn't supposed to be available in NA yet.
Shakezulah
yeah thats what i told him. but as for MGS3, i hope its good.
BurnSide
I have no doubts.
Shakezulah
i liked the first one, but not the second. it was too boring. i guess im just impatient when it comes to games. im sure the 3rd will be very good tho.
BurnSide
The second WAS crap. Not that the graphics weren't good and it was deliciously fun to run around placing porno mags on the ground above a load of c4 and letting rip when a guard stick his head up to it. grin2.gif
Shakezulah
oh thank god! im glad it wasnt just me that thought the 2nd wasnt good. but i didnt know u could do that with the porno mags and C4. thats sounds like fun. its also fun to use the tranq gun on a dead body and give it like a little penis or make it looke like theyre smoking. lol thats fun laugh.gif
BurnSide
There's so much in the game it's the one good thing about it.

Everything from looking UP in first person as Raiden to get Seagull crap on his face, to opening lockers, slapping C4 on the inside, closing it and then knocking on it before hiding in the opposite locker, only to find the guard open the locker and get a faceful of exposion so feirce it throws him into your locker. aaaahhh thats fun.
Shakezulah
i didnt like Raiden. he looked like a woman as well as sounded like one. he was a gay character. they should have just stuck with Snake
BurnSide
HOLY HELL agreed!! Tht was dumb.
And the story was so tarded.
Shakezulah
what is the story in the new one?
BurnSide
I believe it is basically either a remake of Metal Gear or Metal Gear 2, the NES games that came out in the late 80's. Either that or... you don't play as Snake at all, you play as BIG BOSS, the man Snake was cloned from.

It takes place in a Jungle, You must take out guards, avoid traps, and eat live snakes/rats/anything he can get ahold of it live. I guess he's trying to infiltrate a Gurilla camp and destroy a Metal Gear being held there.
Shakezulah
you DO play as Snake. and im pretty sure the story is all new. the one game, Twin Snakes that came out for the GC several months ago was the remake of the 1st game
BurnSide
Remake of first and the second game as well.
I sold my PS copies to get it. Quite the deal!

The thing about MGS 2 and Snake/Big Boss is that Big Boss looked EXACTLY like Snake. Snake was his clone. The ONE difference was that BB had an eyepatch..
And in MGS3: Snake Eater, the character you play as does indeed have an eyepatch.
neo cloud 8900
Yeah, its pretty confusing with all of the clones. Maybe in mgs3 you do play as big boss. That eyepatch is very suspicious. disgust.gif
BurnSide
Exactly.
And considering the game is set in the late 60's i believe... just before snake was supposedly cloned...
neo cloud 8900
Yeah. It would be great if they threw in a plot twist like that. laugh.gif
ChrisC098
Hey I got a game cube and I just wanted some suggestions on what games to get. thumbsup.gif
_hAiLO_
O! The games made by Nintendo I have to say are like its best.

The thing the extremely sucks is that its not online...my god why?!?!

But It depends on what you like, these are the games I have:
First person shooter- Call of Duty: Finest Hour/ Medel of Honer: Rising Sun
Third person shooter- Conflict: Desert Storm/ True Crime: Streets of LA/ Freedom Fighters
Melee Fighting- Super Smash Bros. Melee(great for multiplayer)
2 Player fighting- *not much of a fan at those*
Adventure- Paper Mario 2/ Pikmin 2

Like I said, depends on what you like...these are just what I have(except the last 2). Maybe you can chose for your own.
Shakezulah
Actualy, Gamecube does go online. there are a few online games for it, such as Phantasy Star Online. there is a internet adaptor kinda of thing for it, but i dont know where they sell them.

a good FPS, but with no multiplayer is Die Hard Vendetta. its really fun. you might want to check that out.
_hAiLO_
I hope the next GameCube will be more Online accociated...

...The Nintendo DS can communicate with people over the country(LAN thingy), so i've heard. I hope Nintendo is going to the multiplayer online direction.
Shakezulah
i played the DS and i actualy like it. its much better than i thought it was going to be. im not gonna buy one still, not now at least, cuz i still want the psp. but the touch screen gets smeared and scratched really easily which sucks. but i think its awsome that it can go online and stuff.
neo cloud 8900
the only reason it was scratched was because it was in a game store where everybody uses it.
_hAiLO_
People in tech TV said they liked how the screen felt...smooth...

did you enjoy it herectic grin2.gif ?!?!
ballistico
k guys ive played mgs3 its out ive actually beaten it yes it is big boss but u dont start with the eyepatch u dont fight metal gear u fight shagohad and the story is u hafta infiltrate a base to save this dude sokolov and kill The Boss the person that trained big boss the patriots are in this also olny there called the philosophers sory if thats to much info
neo cloud 8900
The ds is pretty awesome. Ive definitely got to get it. and i will also get the psp. metroid hunters on multi player is awesome, and itswireless
TheCrow
I just bought Metroid Prime 2 but haven't really played it that much yet but all the people I know who have it say it's good.

Cos I currently don't have a job I spent each day last week waking up at about 9:30-10am and playing right through to about 1-2pm. I managed to complete Beyond Good and Evil and Def Jam: Fight For New York which I had started several months ago but due to lack of tme hadn't finished.

Beyond Good and Evil is a good game with an interesting and engaging story and colourful characters. If you like 3rd person action/adventure games I reccomend it.

Def Jam 2 is also good and I felt it improved on the first with a better story, better fighting system/moves, the shop system but also picked up some new flaws. For example, sometimes the opponent was too hard. I'm glad the opponents were an actualy challenge this time rather than push overs like in the last one but some times when you've weakened him down to a danger stage and he suddenly makes a come back after one punch and you get a shot in at all and he counters everything you do, it's pretty crappy.

I'm also currently playing Paper Mario 2 and Xmen: Legends which I both like.

I'm also thinking of getting The Urbz and LOTR: Third Age but may be getting an X-Box in one of the Xmas deals so I'd wait and get them for that. Although with Xbox 2 coming out next year I don't know if I should bother. It is next year right?
brittish_gurl
No offense or whatever, but I think game cube sucks. I don't know, they're something too plain about it. I much rather prefer playstaion 2 or x-box in my opinion... lol, I played gamecube once and I don't know, it was weird.
Shakezulah
o yeah? well maybe GameCube thinks you suck tongue.gif lol jk.
BurnSide
Meh, if you prefer big, bulky and crap to small, convienient and awesome, that's your problem. laugh.gif
ChrisC098
I have to agree. X Box is way too big.

How is animal crossing? ive ben looking at it.
BurnSide
It's fantastic. It looks kiddie, but you have to put alot of work into it. It's garanteed to last a year, hell it has to.

Basically, it keeps playing in real time. If it 12:03 real-time right now, that's the time it'll be in the game. Daylight, snow, rain, night, mist etc.

You live your life as a character in a town with rivers where you can fish, trees and bugs to catch and other residents around you. The town has a shop, a police station, a post office etc etc. The main objectives are to collect everything. You can make your house bigger and put any kind of funiture in it you want. Etc etc. It's really cool. But you have to play almost daily and it does take ALOT of work.
ChrisC098
Ok so here is the list ive games I want too pick up:
RE Remake
RE0
Animal Crossing
Metroid 2
F Zero

Any other suggestions?
BurnSide
RE4. grin2.gif
Disinterested
Animal Crossing is really addictive for the first couple of months you own it, then it just gets less interesting once you're house is paid off and everything.

Just my opinion anyway. tongue.gif
ChrisC098
Oh yes cannot forget Resident Evil 4. grin2.gif I cant wait.

A game thats interesting for a few months thats in the bargain bin? Ill take that anyday. grin2.gif
BurnSide
You HAVE HAVE HAVE to buy the game new Chris.

Unfortunately, it comes with a Memory Card for FREE that only really works the first time you use it.
The first time the card is accessed, you get a special gift. TWO NES games you can play in Animal Crossing. However, any other time the card is used even if it's wiped you don't get those gifts.

Plus, most second-hand copies don't come with the memory card. The card is nessesary because the game takes up one entire card, it's very big.
ChrisC098
Ok cool. A new one might be hard to track down though but im sure it wont be TOO hard.
BurnSide
Most big electronics places still carry it.
Shakezulah
i rented animal crossing once. its was pretty fun. but after awhile, i started getting the same tasks over and over again and there was almost too much uninteresting things to do. it would be fun if you had to go to work every day instead of only going the first day. but i still might pick it up one of these days. seems to be worth it.

Beyond Good and Evil
XIII
Viewtiful Joe
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem

all quite old games but all good games.

There's a few games I'd pick up if I could get them cheaper than normal, Mario Golf, Mario Kart, F Zero, Die Hard Vendetta...

The next big games I'm looking forward to are Veiwtiful Joe 2 and Alien Hominid...

But I'm mostly aniticipating the next Zelda game and of course the DS.

ChrisC098
I dont think the DS is that impressive. Im sticking with my SP. grin2.gif I forgot about Alien Homid. Gonna get that too.
BurnSide
Alien Hominod started out as a freeware NewGrounds game. It was awesome, i can't wait to play the actual game!
ChrisC098
Yeah. I cant believe they actually drew the game. Thats amazing. w00t.gif Ordered a brand new animal crossing with that memory card. grin2.gif
BurnSide
Nice man!

As i said, it takes at LEAST a year of playing daily to complete it.
For starters, you have to collect bugs and fish, and there's lots which are only available at certain times in the year.
Plus, certain furnatures and items are only available at certain events like Christmas or halloween. Etc etc.
ChrisC098
That sounds really cool. Cant wait for it to get here. grin2.gif
