Weee! I brought myself a shiny Gamecube yesterday which fits nicely alongside my PS2. Besides the Resident Evil games, ahaha, and such classics as Windwaker and Animal Crossing, what should i look out for?
It's for both myself and my girlfriend, so i want something we can both play, which is alot of fun, not very serious, and pretty easy to master.
Any suggestions?

It can get repetitive, but i liked it. My mate who's house i stayed in for a few months had it. Great 4-player game, A little TO kiddish though.

Well i mean around the 'Mario Sunshine' type of games. Man that game is great, and hard in some areas like the oldschool parts. It's a great game! Something to that extent.

Starfox was pretty good, from what i saw of it.... Good gameplay and graphics....

Cant think of anything else i ever play on it....last time i played it....march....

Yeah StarFox for N64 was pretty good, i haven't seen it on GameCube tho. Coo.

try Pikmin...its not too serious, and oh so brutal...check it out if you haven't...also Pikmin 2 comes out August 30th

Yeah we played alot of Mario Party 5, it was great but repeitive. VERY KIDDISH!!!

I tried Smash bros Melee, didn't like it at all really. A poor fighting game in my opinion, Nintendo expected it would be okay because it was packed with familiar characters.

Sleepygrizz, i've also played through and completed Pikmin. A truely great Strategy game, but i certainly wouldn't buy it. Took me a few hours to complete and i was bored with it after.

Eternal Darkness? Thats suppose to be good....

metroid prime!!! tho u cant play it, technically, together...but its still fun...

Sorry tendo, Metroid Prime i played for an hour, and i never want to touch the thing again, it was so horribly horribly boring and repetitive. Ugh. Not a very good game in the long term, in my opinion.

It's not on my list Jan man. I'll rent it, but i have seen it, looked up on it and frankly, it ain't my cup of beans but the look of it.

some good multiplayer games are Red Faction 2 and Metal Arms. they both kick ass. im waiting for RE4 (whihc i know u are too) and Geist right now. Geist wont be out for a looong time tho.

Me and the girl are having alot of fun with Mario Kart DD right now. Except ther really isn't enough enough to do in it, takes 35 minutes to play on every track. Booo.

OH and soul calibur 2 is awsome

F-zero GX, thats another good racing game thats a little different but extremly fun.

Eternal Darkness isn`t that bad of a game, its not supposed to be a traditional survival horror game anyway. Its quite challenging and is frankly a little freaky when you start to go insane, with voices, bleeding walls, screams, but funny when you all of sudden are walking on the roof or all your limbs fall off. I hate when you hear the heart beating, thats really annoys me. Its not a classic but is a extremly different yet good game. Give it a rent first though, its not for all gamers.

The wrestlemaina games have great multiplayers sections, with basically every match imaginable and the new wrestling game coming out is going to have a great story mode similar to smckdowns but better, maybe, u never know, ....sigh!!! I`m kidding myself.

Wind waker rocks but is a little easy, cant wait to the next zelda comes out, u are a adult, FINALLY!!! You must must get that!

Man, the battle modes in this one stink, mostly because of the arenas. 4 lousy small arenas. I think i like the N64 Mario Kart better.

They are characters in Mario sunshine, and do just that, fling you in the air. Yeah they're annoying but i especially like taking them out with shells or marios fireballs.

I haven't unlocked the Special Cup yet, but i'm upset to find there's no haunted castle type levels like the previous games.

the matrix is pretty funky, if you like that kinda game. it has a multiplayer mode that you can unlock either by playing? or by using a cheat. i'm stuck on the first 'boss' though <.<

Eternal darkness is an ok game, no multiplayer, but as someone said, rent it first as it's not for all gamers. and yes, it is fun when you go insane i'm also stuck on that.

i'm also thinking of selling my GC as i never use it and i need money towards a new computer. also prolly selling my guitar as i never use that either

bah...the matrix is a pretty bad game. way too repetetive. and the multiplayer is really really lame too. its pretty amusing when you get to be cars tho.

and it really sucks when youre insane in ED. i swear to god that is one of the most frusterating motherf***ing parts of a game ive ever played. i got stuck in that game when you had to be the girls father or whatever and all you get is the one shot pistol that takes FOREVER to reload and you have to kill so many monsters with it. also, the sword you get with him sucks. i really didnt find that game fun in any way.
