Hi, could the bemuda triangle have a time gate like the one found in antartica? Boats and plains have all vanished with out a trace and never been found. Has any body got any ideas?

thanx

I think we pretty much decided there is no time gate in Antartica

The Bermuda triangle has a series of strange currents and weather patterns that cause ships to sink

I used to be an avid believer in the Triangle. But then I heard the facts behind all the stories and its obviously just a bad stretch of ocean, similar to a bad stretch of highway with lots of accidents...nothing supernatural...just higher statistics of accidents

Remember, this area is smack dab in the center of the single highest volume air and water traffic lanes in the northern United States. Quite literally, hundreds of planes and ships go through here on a daily basis, including daily cruises and military ships on exercises. It would stand to reason that there would be a statistically higher number of accidents, but in fact, due to the heavy monitoring of traffic, the Great Lakes region has a greater number of accidents than the Bermuda Triangle.

No boats or planes have ever vanished there without a trace. They're all at the bottom of the ocean. Many a dive has shown all the wreaks down there.
As aquatus said, it's just an area with high air and boat volume, so naturally there's going to be more disasters there.

And there is no time gate in antartica. It was a phony article.

BurnSide, they have never found that flight Squadron from WWII (as far as I know) They found a squad of the same TYPE of plane but not that specific one. It was the first real famous report of the "Devil's Triangle."

Plus, it's accepted by many people that there are enormous methane leaks. Bubbles big enough to crush ships, and enough methane to make electrical equipment go haywire.

Flight 19 was so well-documented and so throughly investigated that there is absolutely no mystery whatsoever as to what happened to the pilots and their aircraft. It was simple pilot error on behalf of the flight leader that led them incorrectly out to sea till their fuel gave out.

Incidentaly, methane bubble don't crush anything; they gassify the water, making it less bouyant and making ships more likely to sink. However, in the Bermuda Triangle region, the deposits of methane are the same minimal deposits found throughout most of the ocean. The only place that you will find significant amount is in the oil regions, where they are closely monitored by oil rigs, as a suddenly burst can and has destroyed entire rigs in a matter of minutes.

Before looking for an explanation for the mystery of the Triangle, you would do well to verify that mystery exists in the first place.

I didn't mean to put crush, oops. I realize it destroys the bouyancy, I just used the wrong terminology. And yes I know their navigation screwed up and they know what HAPPENED my point is as far as I've known they haven't found the wreck. Not that they should care since all they did was crash. But still...

That is true. And it is a big ocean.

Slightly off the subject, but still interesting, I think, is the effects of a methane burst in the ocean. We watched a training tape in which an entire oil rig was swallowed. From the helicopter, you see everyone evacuating the rig as fast as possible, alarms blaring, lights flashing, the works. The you see the water start to bubble ferociously. The ocean starts looking like a level 5 rapid. The oil rig leans over and almost literally falls into the ocean. Sinking isn't fast enough for how quickly this thing went down. Then suddenly, as the rig is going in, theres this 'whump' sound and the gas ignites. You see a bright flash and a few flickers dancing above the water, but other than that, all you hear is comments from the helicopter pilot about the heat. Less than ten minutes pass by and all you have is slightly roiled water on an otherwise calm ocean surface.

Later on, they sent divers down to see what was left at the ocean floor. All they found was a few melted slags. The great majority of this immense oil rig had melted into seperate components and sunk into the muck. There was no way anybody looking at this area would conclude that this was the resting place of a multi-ton floating platform.

I remember reading somewhere a theory that the reason so many things sink/disappear in the bermuda triangle, is allegedly due to the millions of ghosts haunting the area. Apparently captains of slave ships often choose the area to terf out all the sick, dying or pregnant slaves, who would be worth more through insurance. Some people sailing through the area have heard voices singing african songs but haven't been able to trace their origin.

They vanished so you can ask questions about it later on.

The real reason behind why boats, planes, etc. are sinking is due to the large concentration of methane in the Bermuda Triangle. I saw it on the Discovery Channel a few months ago.

how about when the boat stays intact and the crew disappear?? arnt there cases where they find the ships sailing along perfectly fine, only theres no crew...everything is left behind them, food on the table, etc. as if they just abandoned ship... ph34r.gif

I think you people watch to many movies.

You mean like the Mary Celeste? Ship was fine, food on the table, no sign of a struggle and not a soul on board?

Again, as aquaticus likes to say, no mystery there!

Do a google search and you will find that researchers believe that there was a minor fire in the galley. I believe the ship was carrying something flammable, alcohol maybe? In any event, the galley staff sent out the alarm that there was a fire and everyone abandoned ship into a life Boat. (All accounts do say one lifeboat missing) well they expected the ship to burn to the ground, but apparently the fire put itself out without igniting the cargo. By this time the tide had taken the tiny lifeboat to far out and they couldn't get back to the ship. They probably died from exposuer..not aliens, not time vortexes...exposure

ookay, to the Bermuda Triangle. Some say that it was explained. But there are two triangles in the world that does this and the other one is in Japan, or somewhere around that region.

Scientists said that the Triangle near Japan, or in the north-west Pacific, that it is exactly opposite to the bermuda triangle.
-So if you go to the Bermuda Triangle and head towards the center of the Earth and out again in a straight line, you would end up in another triangle so similar to the bermuda triangle.

Is this true? I've seen this in a documentary before, but I can't prove it.
BurnSide
The triangle in Japan also happens to be the area were more traffic goes in and out every day than anywhere else in the world.
Logically, more accidents would happen too.
Nothing special. Just look at things logically.
