Hello, I'm Nick and I joined the site last week because this is a great Board. I did have my own UFO sight not to far from my new house. I have witnesses to this so thats a good thing. Will here it is

It was in the very beginning of January(2004) at around I think 8:40 and my mom got a call from her boyfriend on my cell. I knew how she acted when she talked to him and so I told her to pull off the side of the road. She pulled off next to our water tower and was talking to him meanwhile I was trying to get her off this way we could get back to our old house. I gave up so I started looking at the stars through the explorer, My eyes really weren't set on anything so if there was any kind of movement my eyes mould fling to it which i'm sure it happens to you. And so like I said I was looking up there and all of the sudden I caught a hold of something in the sky. It was engoulfed in fire comming down to earth at a fast speed. Though in flames you could tell that the object was a perfect circular disk shape. It looked like also that you could see lights like red and that being able to shine somewhat through the fire. All of the sudden(Trying to put this into the right words) It started to curve up and dissapeared into thin air, I mean it was gone in a split second. This all couldn't have happened whithin but a mile of us. It looked to be like 20 30 feet in diameter. It didn't have any type of noise to it. My mom happened to say did you see that and I was like " Yeah..I think it was a UFO". She said that she just saw it before it was gone. I told her what I seen and she said that it might have been a meteoir but I was trying to convience her that it looked to be like an UFO. So we got into a debate about it. A few months later I was talking to my friend ashley and we were on the aliens subject when I started telling her about the UFO and she said "Oh my God, I saw it too" And I stoped and aked her to tell me exactly what she saw before I told her what I seen, She discribed the same exact thing to me and said that she was right around me with her family when it happened. So i'm not the only one who saw it and thinks its an UFO. Well thats my story. Tell me what you think. I also don't think it was a meterior because of the fact of how it was pretty close to the earth to have been that big and just completely dissapear or hit the ground without us feeling it.

it might have been a piece of space junk---iron and titanium burn very red.

was there any big sparks comming off the object ?

Space Junk? Like a big 'ol frozen junk of poopie? It looked like red lights in certain spaces on the rim of it though i'm not sure. This all happened in like 5 seconds or less. I can't remember if sparks where coming off of it. Why, whats it mean?

2 Theories

1. You saw a UFO disspate in our atmosphere, or self desctruct.

2. A piece of satilittle fell to our atmosphere and dissapated in it.

Those are good theories you guys. I'm still convinced it was an UFO but you never know it might have been one of those things you guys mentioned. If anyone else has coments I would love to hear them. Thanks

I believe you. If it were a peice of satalite. It would have been in the news or something, i'll bet.

You did see a UFO, at least until you meet someone else who saw it and knows exactly what it was (think about it!) Anyway, I was gonna start a string about my personal sighting. It happened back in 1996, and I hadn't really thought about it until a bunch of us were sitting out last night watching flares being sent up into the sky.

Back in mid August 1996, my mom, two of her friends, and I went camping at a place called Raystown Lake in Pennsylvania. It was around 2 AM and we were at a campsite right along side the lake. We were sitting around the campfire and my mom and I were facing the two other campers and the lake. All of a sudden, this neon green cigar shaped light appeared out of nowhere and streaked across the sky very fast. It had an orange tail. It appeared as if it was launched from behind the mountain, across the lake, and then disappeared behind the mountains on the other side of the lake. It was quiet, very bright, there was no crashing sound. At first I thought I was seeing things, then I shifted my eyes to the water and saw the reflection of it so I knew it was really there. My mom is quick to debunk everything. She is relentless in teasing me about my bigfoot theories, so when she told me that she really thought the green light was a UFO, I too had to wonder.

By definition, it is a UFO... but I doubt its anything exotic like an alien craft or a military black project.

Well it was funny because my mom was saying that I wonder if it will be in the news or the news paper, And I told her that I seriously dout that it would be in any of those and I was right. Nice story, I can't tell you what you seen but It might have been a UFO. But then again my old JNROTC teacher was talking about how we have missles hidden in mountains and in a lot of places in the US so theres a chance you might of seen one being lauched off . He used to be in the Military or something like that. So he knows this kind of stuff.
