What is/are Rods?
mr_halo
heres a link to what rods are....i put them on here because many believe they are animals of some kind...

http://www.forteantimes.com/exclusive/rods.shtml
Panthera leo atrox
ABC's, and Felids in general.

cat.gif
Talon
Bigfoot, I know a lot about it and actively track online news about it, I love it. thumbsup.gif

Also its cousins the Big Grey Man and the Yeti, but not to same extent.
mr_halo
i voted other, as i like to know information on all of them and more, and i know a fair bit about all of them aswell...keep voting people..*shakes fist*
Falco Rex
I'd say I know more about the Chupacabra than all the other choices combined. Which is exactly the reason I'm so quick to dismiss it as a legend or misidentification.. tongue.gif
BurnSide
I'm the Giant Squid boy around here. I boast a library of books, internet sites and regular chat sessions with the worlds leading researcher on the Giant and Colossal Species, Dr. Steve O'Shea.
mr_halo
grrrrrrrr disgust.gif , leave the chupacabra alone....
grc
Chupacabra more than any other so called mysterious creatures
DarkSide
I put other because you did not put in a slot for all of them, because if it move attacks or is odd and unknown i'm usually intrested about it...
_hAiLO_
other, I am more interested in dragons than any of them. But dragons have been proven fake, i think. But next to that, sea monsters. Like that on monster found in that one Chinese lake on the China-Korea border.
Tia
I put other.
Yowies, the Australian version of sasquatch.
jay1eighty
ph34r.gif I'd have to say a tie between Sea Monsters and Bigfoot for me!
Janiel
i'd say jersey devil, i've been looking into it quite a bit
The Banana Pie Eater!
Giant Squid!
They could be real!
It's lot of things in the sea that we haven't discover yet!
BurnSide
Uruumm, how could it not be real? There's a giant squid washed up nearly once a month.

Check the front page news, one was washed up just a few days ago.

They aren't really cryptids since we've long since known of their existance.
The Banana Pie Eater!
Alright BurnSide...
I meant Squids that are bigger than ships and stuffs...
Kraken i think the name of them is!
BurnSide
Oh haha. Yes the legend of the Kraken. Some sailors would report they saw monsters as big as Carribean Islands with huge tentacles that would reach up around the boats and drag them down.
I believe the Kraken was an exaggerated giant squid, personally.
Astrocreep
I chose other. My specialty is Mothman and others like him.
Fairie
I picked other, I'm really into the more fantastical cryptids, like Memaids and Fairies, the stuff that doesn't come with a whole lot of solid evidence, but that is intriguing due to the fact that the legends about them have spanned different cultures for centuries. Plus, Ireland is actually full of both, but the poeple who see them are ignored due to the old drink. Well I've been drunk lots of times and all I've ever seen was two people at it in a park. Hardly the stuff of legends.
MichaelS
I'm more of a parapsychologist than a cryptozoologist... but I'd have to say Sasquatch since they're relatively close (I'm in BC after all... lots of forest for them to hide and frolic in).
mr_halo
ooooooh other is leading, i voted for that myself, so i'm glad its in the lead, although its not very descriptive....keep voting people...
SoulsoftheForgotten
I'm into a lot of things so I just put other for all of 'em.
I'm mostly into dragons and the Loch Ness monster really. cool.gif
mr_halo
ok enough votes and the most specialised criptid.......is *drum roll*.....OTHER!!!! hurray, lets hear it for the strange animal which is other.... laugh.gif
cor_raven
Chupa, Espacially the dancing chupa(see avitar)
man_in_mudboots
still nobody cares about mokele? crying.gif
MisterBlueSkies
I'm a lover, not a hater, so I have to admit I view all cryptids with equal fascination. Topping my list is:

-Ursus Arctos Piscator aka "Bergman's Bear"
There's something ultra cool about a giant black bear running around Russia/Siberia.
-The Chupacabra
My grandma, who grew up on a reservation, often told me stories of a lizard-like creature that sucked the blood out of animals. She described it as having small wings, but couldn't fly, and having chameleon-like skin that could blend into surroundings. (Could this be why it can't be found?)
-The Mongolian Death Worm
What can I say? Those things are just cool.
SiameseNitemare
where's Mothman on the list???
lol grin2.gif
mr_halo
i think mothman can be counted under other original.gif

and other is still leading, just curious if anyone voted other, tell me what the other was?

JAZ76US
I would have to go with sea monsters, and the bigfoot for a close second.
Deimos
I specialize in Afircan crpytids, particularly the prehistoric survivors and the lesser known ones.
mr_halo

other is still leading this poll, common people what cryptid is your speciality, i want to know...please tell me crying.gif

cool.gif
man_in_mudboots
i voted other for mokele.
BobaFett
I chose the Jersey Devil. There's just something interesting about a cryptid that all the clues say its fake;(It's origin for example, and its satanic roots), but yet hundreds of people have seen it over the last 200 yrs!
Kellalor
Don't really have a specialty.

I guess I'm most interested in 'sea monsters'. I think they have the greatest possibility of existing. laugh.gif
BurnSide
Especially since some do!

(Referance to REAL sea monsters, Giant Squids and the like)
Celumnaz
Do Giants count?
mr_halo

yeah giants count, but you'll have to vote for other....

other is still winning, come on.....

psicohunter

sunspot
I voted "Other"

Im fascinated by the Mothman tales - and all cryptozoology in general really
mleahy
Well, I definately don't believe in Bigfoot, The Loch Ness Monster, Chupacabras, the Jersey Devil, or Rods. And I don't believe in Sea Monsters per se. I suppose that leaves big cats, which may not be cryptids. Sometimes a panther is just a panther, even if it's in a habitat alien to it. I am more into the study of newly discovered animals, such as the possible new species of leech found in New Jersey recently, or the possible new ape species in the Congo.

mr_halo

other is still leading....

keep voting people thumbsup.gif

please....
