just thought i'd see, what was popular..

I'm going to be honest with you, this is the only one that I've mangaed to watch all the way through. I did quite like what I saw of Alien and Alien Ressurection, but I'm not much of a gore fan, and WOW talk about over kill on the mingometer!

Which one was that Faire? Aliens? Predator?

My fav Alien movie was definately the second, Aliens. Mainly because of how action-oriented it was. But the first one was great for it's horror aspects.
The pred movies are a different story, they're absolutely fantastic in their own right and i find it hard to compare Alien movies to pred movies. Pred 2 was awesome though.

It's a hard choice really... they were all awesome! I think my least favourite is Alien 3 though.

Predator movies are AWESOME, the first being cheesy as hell, I loved it!

I only compared the two types of film because of the new AVP movie, that was the only reason....

I think I prefer the Predator over the Alien.

I've always been an Alien fan, but the Predators are freakin sweet.

Aliens is the best because it has michael biehn and bill paxton in it, and they are ace, plus i love the whole marines thing, and plus the pulse rifles were good...

God i HATED that they killed him off in Alien3. What a STUPID thing to do!

he was killed off because michael biehn didn't want to be in the film, well so i read somewhere, he was so good in aliens, although he played the same character in terminator and aliens, i mean you could easily take kyle reese and put him in aliens and vice versa with hicks and terminator....

Both the characters were the same, but they fit well. So awesome.

James Cameron director of T2 and Aliens. Biehn in T1 and Aliens. Bill Paxton in T2 and Aliens. Bill Paxton also in Predator 2 along with the woman whoplayed Vasquez who was also Johns step mother in T2. Arnie in T1 and T2 as well as Predator 1.

who was bill paxton in T2?, i know he has a small part in terminator as a punk at the beginning, never saw him in T2, it was on the tv earlier...

micheal biehn is in the abyss, another james cameron film...

bloke who plays bishop is in terminator, aliens and a vampire film with vasquez, all james cameron i believe...

nobody has voted for alien 3, or the latest outing Alien vs Predator, i still really want to see that movie though, but i already know alien 3 was rather poor...

i love alien the frist one the most but i love them all i dont care for predator at ALL.........

3 was enjoyable when you gave it a chance and stopped comparing it with the others (which blew it out of the water, except number 4). However, so long as it was compared with the others, it was always going to be a cheap re-run of Alien.

It had it's moments like they all did. The direction they took the movie suffered but it was a good way to END the trilogy... until they brought her back. GOD.

yes, why did they have to do the old "lets clone her" scenario, there was really no need for a fourth movie, i can see why they did it, to make money, but they should of left it as it was a great triology, well the first 2 movies were great, and alien 3 was watchable...

Alien four could have been good, exccept they didn't take it seriously, the aliens talked to each other and showed a intellegence that went beyond the ant like mentality they had in the other movies; it had stupid bits like the alien using its second mouth to hit bottons; the monster at the end ws guff; the bit where the guy uses his chest busteer to kill someone else was like something out of a cheap B-movie. And the acting was hammy.

They totally seemed to forget 'ah, we're doing a serious sci-fi action monster movie here', and instead when with 'I think this would be coooool' no no it was just stupid.

And it was a pitty, cause the intial scenes with the military fighting the aliens had so much potential.

That part with Ripley having blood that could melt steel, and then the queen alien having a repoductive system and the alien/human hybrid at the end, okay, they were just making that up as they went along.

Most likely. If they do an Alien 5, I hope they do it like Aliens - dark, horror/action, serious. Maybe have the aleins on Earth, and have humans and aliens fighting in streets, destroyed homes, sewers etc in some kinda street war to make Stalingrad look like a local gang fight on a street corner.

i do not think they should make Alien 5 , unless they let me direct it, because i know how it should be done, i'm a fan afterall....maybe i could do a prequel to alien, i mean whos ship was that, that the eggs were in?, plus prequels seem to do well usually....

But I have to say I wouldn't mind seeing another Predator movie.

But it was an alien ship, you wouldn't have any humans, which would take a lot out of the movie. I mean look at sci-fi's its always humans, or human-like species they centre on cause that what people are used to

for all we know the aliens whos ship it was, could of been the origins of the human race, we just don't know, i bet if they did a prequel they'd find a way of getting ripley into the film and bishop...

yeah a new predator film would be good, i heard a rumour once that they were going to do a predator in the past kind of movie, with the predator coming to earth during world war 1 or world war 2, or some war, i can't remember though...

I read that they aparently were going to do an Alien 5 and Predator 3, but they decide that the cost of both might not pay off so they'd be best just doing both series in a single movie, hence Alien vs Predator.

Doing AVP made sense.

Plus I really enjoyed it. I love the Predator!

I heard that there are talks between Weaver and Ridley Scott for Alien 5, the final Alien movie.

In it it would the the same as the comic and Book by S. Perry, EARTH HIVE, where Ripley is settling into her new home, and lo and behind, a man returns to earth impregnated with a queen. The aliens take over and destroy the earth. Would be HIGHLY entertaining, if done right. And by that i mean, IF done by Ridley Scott, since he did do the original Alien. James Cameron could pull it off too.

As for the new Predator, it's also rumoured, and the star rumoured is supposedly The Rock. :S Same with T3, he's taking Arnies roles.
