Hey everyone. I'm new to the site, though I have been checking it out for some time now. I am doing a bit of research for a book I am writing, and I was hoping that there is someone here who might be able to help.

About 2 years ago or maybe more, I came across an article about a girl from Tibet (maybe) that could bleed from her pores at will. They called the girl Lamia. Since then, I haven't been able to find anything about this subject, the girl, or anything relating to the article at all.

If anyone knows where I could locate it, or even if someone out there read it at some point, it would be greatly appreciated if you could help me find a link back to it.

Thanks

Very hard to do .

I have managed to cut off circulation at will ( without using a physical method obviously ) But I have troubles making myself bleed . Mainly because I dont attempt it so often , and Im still not sure how you do it exactly .

I also doubt its healthy for you .

Using hypnosis and people on the extreme ends of suggestibility, you can convince people to bleed from non-existant wounds. It isn't quite so dramatic as it sounds, basically some blood seeping from the skin, possibly enough to create a drop or two, but it is fairly well documented and explained.

If I recall correctly, it was John Kappas, of The Kapassian Institute of Hypnotherapy, who wrote about that. He is one of the leading researchers into hypnosis.

Cuz when you get bullied, you can fake the bleeding on their first punch. Then you'll look like you need to go the the hosipital and the bullies might just take you there instead.

When the doctor cleans you up, he says he didn't find anything wrong. He asks why, and you whisper only 3 words "I'm a Psion". Then the doctor drops his tools and say "whats that, who are you? what are you? blink.gif "

......and then proceed to take over the world

Well, as I said before, I am not personally trying to attempt this or anything, I am writing a book with a character with a similar ability. The difference being that she bleeds from anywhere she is touched by another person's skin. I only wanted to read the story since it was part of the basis for my character.

Anyway, thanks for the replies, hopefully someone will recognize this article and help me find it.

do you believe someone can heal themselves in the same manner ?

But yes , bleeding at will would be considered a form of self hypnosis as it is mainly done by extreme consentration . You can make yourself feel warmer in to cold in the same way , or stimulate your muscles much like steroids would in the same way as well .

Is it healthy ? Most likely not . tongue.gif

No, I don't. Seeping blood through the skin involves very little in terms of actual damage, whereas any sort of wound that requires healing has a limit imposed through the sheer mechanics of rebuilding living tissue.

Well i don't know that much on the subject but, just don't lose to much blood tongue.gif

I have however heard of bleeding under extreme pressure or possibly fear. Its got something to do with the sweating, when you're really depressed etc, some blood gets into the sweat glands when they veins swell or something like that, saw it the other day on tv.
