Psychic Derek Acorah and former Blue Peter presenter Yvette Fielding, along with a team of paranormal investigators from Most Haunted, visited Pleasley Mills last weekend after reports of mysterious noises and apparitions.Explained Sue Simkin, owner of Rupert Mole: “All of the Most Haunted Team turned up for the filming and they were really friendly. They fell in love with Joe, our company dog and even filmed him ‘sniffing out’ the ghosts.”The friendly Westie was not alone in sensing ghostly presences, Derek Achora and fellow medium David Wells independently picked up ghostly activity in the same area of the mill.During their stay, the paranormal investigators also filmed a séance, and most chillingly of all, captured the sound of a ghost swearing at them!“There was so much activity at the Mills that Most Haunted hopes to film here again next year,” continued Sue who organises regular guided ghost tours around the Mills.“The tours, led by a professional storyteller, have proved very popular with many of those taking part reporting unusual activity.”

Despite the interest of the Most Haunted team, Sue has no intention of calling in the Ghostbusters just yet. Short of delivering a few frights, the uninvited guests - including a ghostly ‘white lady’ - have not hurt anybody and are proving a popular tourist attraction. Those taking part in the tours can also enjoy a buffet and drink in the Rupert Mole showroom that contains, in addition to quality furniture and a selection of supernatural visitors, a variety of gifts from around the world.
