Yo

I'v talked about a flying snake in a topic maybe a week ago and i wonder if any of you have heard from it or got any pictures of one. it is suppose to be 4 feet long and has wings. they live in france in the alpes.

Thanks
DarkSide
I really doubt it it would be a kite or a ballon or something... Its too cold in the alps for a "reptile" and if it was a dragon well... First off I have to see proof.

EDIT:

grin2.gif New pictures available! This is my representation of the "flying snake of the alps." Donr totally on MS Paint tongue.gif

Hmm.. that would be a wyvern, a type of dragon, it have no arms just a wings and maybe a legs.

If it is a real wyvern I would be VERY happy since it is closest thing to real dragon whihc is my favorite animals.

it could be anything.....

I have read numerous reports of flying snakes in Africa. Particularly around the desert areas. Perhaps it is a decendant to the mastodon or pterdactyl (sp?).

If you are having trouble uploading the pic contact pm a mod or the admin and they will upload it for you. I would like to see this picture.

here is the "picture" of my flying snake

Obviously, and I am not claiming that anyone believes a "flying" snake would look like that on the above picture, but I doubt they would look like that... wink2.gif

As for snakes that really fly, I would be a little worried if I was a bird that inhabited an environment with one. I know I wouldn't like my eggs in my nest being swallowed by a flying snake.
Sir_Oguh2
well a creationnist guy came at my church to talk about dinosaurs and stuff like that. he talked about the mokele mbembe, the flying snake, big alligators and other things. he said people that live in the alps see those snakes sometimes and they are described exactly like on this drawing. oh and by the way... he said that people went in africa and filmed the mokele mbembe in cameroun (not in congo of course) and when they came back with all those things about mokele mbembe they played it on TV but they had cut 80% of all their good images leaving only the bad stuff on TV

People also claim to sight Yetis in the Alps.

yes, but all the flying snakes dont really fly, of course, they just leap off a tree and glide to another one. this is a FLYING snake. where would a snake possibly store the huge amount of muscular tissue needed to fly? where would the muscles attach to the frame? wouldnt it be awkward flying with the wings and legs positioned so far back on the body?

Hahahaha, whoops! Yes, yes they are. I could have sworn there was a flying dinosaur that started with "masto"; I must have gotten them confused. Thank you though, for pointing it out.
DarkSide
Actually there not really flying dinosaurs there actually just really really really big flyng reptiles.

Mastadon.... Hmmmm at the moment I can't think of any flying reptiles like that...

Dude! I saw a flying snake! Man I never knew it was real!
The reason for me saying that is that I saw a strange flying
snake-like thingy in the sky, and I was afraid to tell others
because they might think I'm a nut! But now, that others
are witnessing the same, WOW!
Sir_Oguh2
norman this is no place for jokes did you really see a "flying snake"?

where do you live?
how big was it?
did it have wings?
