Wow, wow, wow, wow, and wow a 1000x, that's all I'm able to say right now!
To sum it up, I saw a UFO with my own eyes (!!!) ALONE (keyword) and a few hours later I was contacted by someone online who freaking KNEW what I saw and was trying to tell me it's a hoax. I can't BELIEVE this, I keep thinking it's one of my friends, but there was NOBODY there (am I dreaming??) nor have I told ANYONE I know except for my parents (and they didnt believe me!!!).
Here are the details;
I came home from a birthday party last night (01/21/03) at approximately 9:45 PM EST or so.. I was NOT DRUNK (as you might assume). Realizing I forgot the key to the front door, I went to the backyard to get inside from the back door (which I had the key to).
I got up the steps, put the key inside, turned it, and then (i get goosebumps when i remember this) for some ODD reason I turned around, and looked to the left, and saw a flat oval-shaped HUGE sort of glowing "saucer" (very flat) literally float past an empty house across the street, I was in awe and was actually very terrified and couldn't believe it (and it takes a lot to terrify me). Note: I saw it really CLEARLY and it WAS A UFO!!! 110%!
My parents were not home, so when I entered the house I made myself a sandwich and watched some TV, couldn't wait for them to come back to tell them this! My mom is a believer in the phenomenon, while my dad is a skeptic, but they do believe me when I tell them the truth.
After about an hour or so of watching TV (John Q on Starz), I went to take a nap, locked all doors and windows (lol), and dozed off. After another hour and a half my parents came home and woke me up, I finally told them what I saw, and for the first time in my life - my parents did NOT believe me! I was VERY upset, but got over it afterwards (nobody needs to believe me, I know what I saw).
Alright, so after another 30 minutes that I spent on finishing homework I went online.
This is what COMPLETELY FREAKED ME OUT->>>>
I signed on AOL Instant Messenger, now please remember, only my friends know my screen name and it is PRIVATE and can't be more private than it already is, BUT, after signing on, maybe 5 seconds after I signed on.. I get an Instant Message from the user "Thisisnuh".
Here is the conversation;
this is Nuh (12:37:19 AM): many american citizens claim that they have witnessed an extraterrestrial spacecraft, but what they do not realize is that the things they see are completely different from what they really are..
this is Nuh (12:37:28 AM): hoaxes
********* (12:37:35 AM): OMG WHO IS THIS?
this is Nuh (12:38:03 AM): thousand of citizens around the world have reported being abducted by alien beings. They report that they are taken aboard an alien ship and examined, experimented on in many ways; implanted with tracking devices, and/or operated on and samples are taken from their bodies
this is Nuh (12:38:32 AM): this is completely illogical and is always disproven
this is Nuh (12:38:57 AM): in other words, all alien encounters are hoaxes that are set up to manipulate citizens
this is Nuh (12:39:14 AM): what you have seen a couple of hours ago was nothing more than a misidentification of the moon
********* (12:39:28 AM): ROFL THAT IS RIDICULOUS, WHO ARE YOU
this is Nuh (12:39:50 AM): so we should not jump to any conclusions until we have analyzed the facts
this is Nuh (12:40:06 AM): and what is logical and illogical
this is Nuh (12:40:17 AM): especially if the visibility is 10 miles +
********* (12:40:20 AM): please dotn ignore me who are you
this is Nuh (12:40:31 AM): you probably thought you saw some kind of alien spacecraft
this is Nuh (12:40:39 AM): but now you know that you were mistaken
this is Nuh (12:41:02 AM): goodbye
********* (12:41:11 AM): holy shit
********* (12:41:18 AM): are you still there?//
He did NOT answer me at all. I am so freaked out and I can't find an explanation, it wasn't my parents, and nobody else knows what I saw. It's kind of ridiculous but I'm really freaked out.
And what the hell is up with mistaking it for a moon?? I laughed really hard when I heard that.
Any response will be appreciated!!
Thanks a ton

well NUH is another name for Noah from the bible, but other than that could we have an on-line version of the MIB?

Very bizarre all round - I find it hard to believe that it was just a coincidence.
The "this is nuh" character seemed to know exactly what to say, as though he had it all written down or had said it to other people in the past, almost like a routine job. If it was just someone messing about, then that doesn't explain how this person could have known you'd seen a UFO, or what your AOL screen name was.
As Althalus mentioned above, is this evidence of some sort of on-line "MIB" ?
Either that, or someone you know is playing a trick on you under a different alias.

Investigation.
I logged on with the hopes of find Nuh around 3.13 this morning. Thankfully I did find him, he having been logged on since around 1.00. I have the logs if anyone wishes to see them, but, for time's sake, I'm just going to paraphrase.
My first conversation with Nuh was very interesting. At first he said he had no idea what I was talking about, so I wished him a good evening and preparede to leave. After a cryptic message about opening doors, I persued and he told me that the John Titor story was not real. John Titor being the time traveler over at anomalies.net. Wel, this caught my attention, but I also noticed that he said a few lines about time that sounded familiar. As a matter of fact, his conversation above sounded familiar too. But, in the interest of persuing this, I left it alone. He refused to answer how he would have known about the above poster's ufo, except to say that it was biased against him and his group. He also told me that a president from my United State once mistook the moon. He also asked if I worked at anomalies.net. He told me he was in Vietnam and I said goodbye.
I then engaged him in conversation a second time, at which point he informed me there were no UFOs, no aliens, and it was part of a government plan of misdirection. I told him that I didn't work for anomalies.net and he seemed dissapointed. I then asked him if he had ever heard of Jose Chung and he got very cold. He told me to "hush kid, and go to bed." At which point I told him that he did a great job quoting, almost line for line, the MIB in The X-Files episode "Jose Chung's From Outer Space." He then grew very cold and said he was ignoring me. I pushed him further, asking why he would post such a hoax, and he told me that, seeing as I knew everything, why didn't I just leave him alone? Eventually I grew frustrated, made a word or two about how sad it was that he made such a hoax and how he was acting like the spoiled pre-pubescent brat he was, and then left.
Now, I have no doubts that Nuh, who's info. includes a quote about Allah and two Islamic links, is a fake. He grew very childish towards the end. But what of the above post?
We have two solutions;
1 - Nuh did IM Morris; he is either an actual online MIB or a friend of his pulling a joke.
or
2 - Morris and Nuh are the same person, or acting together, to perpetrate a hoax. Nuh did seem dissapointed when he found out I wasn't a journalist for anomalies.net, and I do believe he was seeking some online fame.
That's all I have.... except to say that "Jose Chung's From Outer Space" was, and will always be, the best episode.

Thank you Test Bear . I think your second solution to this problem is more than likely the most accurate one.
I still can't work out why any government would go to all that trouble to disprove UFO's . Any one who has ever seen something odd knows they get treated like a nut case when they fess up . The government dosen't need to do anything , because unless some one actually catches a flying saucer there will never be enough evidence to prove they are extra terrestrial in nature , and If they are secret millitary projects then they shouldn't be just flying around willy nilly past peoples houses should they.

I have to admit though, it was a pretty amusing time until he turned into a jerk. Up until that point it felt like one of those old text-based games, albeit a really good one, where I wandered through my favourite "X-Files" episode.
Nuh was a real knee-biter when the cards were laid out though.

The thing is, Nuh and Morris are probably the same person, and that is how Nuh knows what he knows. The tip off was that he had quoted some stuff verbatim from some science fiction movie. So it's a hoax. Too bad! Woulda been a heck of a story.

I'm not doubting your word or all the hard work you put into researching this Test Bear, but one of the oldest secrets is to hide things in plainview. What better way would a supposed MIB do to get rid of unwanted attention? Act like an immature teenager and throw out some well known lines made popular by hollywood. A disguise inside of a disguise not the best trick in the world but definately one of the oldest and most wildly used.
I think the Government of any country would go to lengths to try and hide the facts of another intelligent species from outer space. Knowing that something "out there" can willingly come and conquer your planet can cause a lot of fear. I remember back when the calander turned the big 2000 so many people bought gallons upon gallons of water, 3 month supply of food, batteries and some even bought land out in the middle of no where. What does that say about what would happen if we were visited.
I guess my point is that there will be reasons why to keep something like that a secret but also think that most people act brave when they are the most scared.

I have some things to say about the MIB phenomenon.. first of all, there is no doubt that some people have really experienced this phenomenon. I know it is a "gimme" in science that you never accept the anecdotes as evidence, but it seems to me, if we took this totally seriously, we really wouldn't know very much about rape, or a myriad of other crimes, since crimes are by and large committed in secret. Think about it. If all you could use to build a case was the factual evidence, if you could never use eyewitness accounts, you would not even know that a crime had been committed in many cases. How weird would that be?
Having said that, there is no reason to take the MIB experience at face value. There are some very strange factors in these stories that don't make any sense. If you haven't yet, read "Mothman Chronicles" for a very interesting bunch of MIBs..
It may be that those things we experience as paranormal will never conform to any rational ideas we might have for them. It may be that the paranormal is itself an expression of that part of the universe that is nonrational.. if this is the case, there will never be an explanation for all the things that freak us out.
But if we are going to make sense of the MIB thing, one thing we are going to have to focus on is the "subtext" of the interactions.. MIBs seem to be trying to quash belief in UFOs and such, but in reality, they don't do that at all. They are extraordinarily unconvincing to the people who experience them.
Consider the difference between them and the ordinary government coverups which inevitably come down to a statement like "if you tell what you know, we will harm you or your family." Whether or not a UFO crashed at Roswell, I don't know, but I do believe that people were threatened, because they have a believable degree of emotional upset about it. One thing psychologists believe is that you can't really fake the emotions.. a false memory, for instance, can seem very real to you, but a real memory comes loaded with emotions.. ok, I'm swayin' off the road now, need to get back on straight..
Well with the MIB phenomenon, if there are threats, they are vague and non explicit. There is a lot of "mumbo jumbo" that might make you think you are talking to someone legit, but if you take that stuff and try to break it down, it doesn't make any sense. How do we explain it?
We have to at least examine the idea that it could be an effort by whatever paranormal agencies there are out there to get you to mistrust your government.
Why would they want to do that? I have no idea..

.. but now that I've thought of it, I need to use the blinky emoticon..

Well it's been some time since Morris first posted the original story for this thread , and i haven't seen him around lately. Infact he only ever posted twice.
I have two theory's as to his where abouts.
1) The M.I.B. have kidnapped him and are brain washing him with Alien probbing devices.
or 2) He had his fun and Test Bear uncovered his little plot.
He is probably off trying to take the mickey out of some other group of people on the net.

You would think that any MIB, even one that would only exist on-line, would have some formal training. In this regard, the lack of capitalization and puncuation would lead me away from thinking that Nuh is anything but some d00d out for a laugh.
Also, if there was some agnecy so good that they could track you down on-line to tell you that you did not see a UFO, there is no way that this thread would be allowed to exist.
Therefore, by virtue of anyone being able to read this, there can be no conclusion other than that these events did not happen as described.

Nuh doesn't know what he is talking about and sounds more like somebody in the government monitoring your computer from a van trying to scare you.
I have a friend who is a ufo researcher and when he went to give a lecture-him and his wife had been threatened by some strange men in suits.
Ask yourself: What are they hiding for them to insist it is an elaborate hoax?
Nuh knows nothing!

I doubt an "MIB" would have to visit anyone who saw a ufo, lol we doubt ourselves enough and every one else catches what ever you might miss. I just dont see the need for a "visit " unless there is physical evidence.
If it was your job what would you do?
He could have acted immature to make people believe it was not an MIB, so people would automaticly believe otherwise.. he was probably suspicious aswell. Who knows though.

I apologize for the very late follow up, but 'ThisIsNuh' is no joke. I don't know about being an entity like other sites say about him, but he is definetly a hacker or has the ability to take advantage of computers. I came across him through another hacker, also a Muslim named Ado. Ado has compromised security of many major sites himself, pogo.com easports.com and mainly neopets.com, all major well protected sites and they are both teenagers-very low 20's. I actually insulted Nuh and his religion for him and ado calling me about stupid crap and he said say good bye to your aim and aol accounts, and called me by my FULL name and asked me how it is on my street, telling me the full address. People say well maybe he got it through your phone, but the cell phone i used wouldn't hold address information and the phone wasn't in my name. The next day, I came home from school to sign on AIM, and it said 'Sign on blocked'. My screen name 'YerMomIzAmilf' was indeed suspended for good. There are others who supposedly can do that, but heres the very weird part. My AOL screen names that he never knew off, were also suspended and I had them reinstated, the man I spoke to said each account was compromised from another location. I imed him from my new screen name and said HAHA i got it back, he then told me "Laugh now, next time you won't get it back I promise". The next day, I got back from school and the second AIM account was suspended that I imed him from and the AOL accounts were AGAIN suspended. But upon talking to the AOL rep. he said a NOTE was even placed on the account information saying that my account was not to be returned for good. The representative said he never seen such a note before but he had to follow his system, so I finally got my accounts back 2 weeks later after writing a letter to the review board. Now AOL is a MAJOR MAJOR company with tons of security and has never been known to have been hacked. Nuh is NO OLDER than 21 years old and managed to get into their system and put in for my accounts to not be returned.
Here's why I question him being a normal human being, he knew my name and street address and I never talked to him via the net before that. He knew my AOL account on a separate computer that I never reached him or ANYONE from ever, and my aim screen names were never affiliated with the aol accounts or the computer with the AOL software. He pulled off a major task in banning and leaving the note in their system in under 15 minutes, not possible in my mind but he did it. AOL ALONE SAID IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE and more than 3 representatives got an attitude with me for saying I didn't do anything wrong. He seems extremely educated for someone who dropped out of school at 16 aswell. He even got into my NEW gmail account that no one knew about and sent an email to my own account from my account, laughing about the AOL incident.

THE BIGGEST THING IS and your all gonna think it's bulls***, he told me to write down a 3 digit number and burn the paper and that he'd gaurentee he knew what the number was. I did so out of fun to see wtf he was talking about and he made the number come up in the AIM IM window that i was talking to him in. I actually turned off the computer and went out with some friends because of it.
Sorry but I'd have to say he has more power to him, maybe physic? No teenager can HACK AOL and leave a note in their system about not returning an account. The 3 digit number thing was just unexplainable

I was 'nojoke', i forgot my password. I used to mess around with a site called Neopets.com with this kid 'ado', another muslim. Him and 'nuh' are supposed to be good friends, spoke to them on the phone before and nuh just spoke fluent english and arabic. He suspended 3 of my aim screen names, he has aim administration names and access. He OWNED aol, and is supposedly just a teenager? The kid put a note on my account the 2nd time i called AOL for ANOTHER return of my accounts, they said the note said I violated their TOS and the account was unable to be returned for good, I later got it back by writing the review board. The kid is not normal, he's beyond normal at his hacking ability and he does wierd sh**. He asked me if I had pictures on my wall and how many. I said seven, he said your lying, theres more and to look on the other wall. There was 9 total. I said he had a lucky guess and it didn't mean anything. He told me to check my email for the message he sent me the other day and to look at the very end of the subject. It had 9 spaced all the way to the side on its own. I never told him any personal, home, ANY info. I know a hacker could get my street #'s and name and info, but nothing in my computer has my name in it, I always use my service tag to verify who i am.
He also had me write down ANY number, 1 digit to 50 digits, didnt matter. He said write it out, write it backwards underneath it and subtract. He asked no questions or anything at all, no other rules or steps, just those 2 and then he told me the number i was resulted with. Theres NO trick or formula for that. He'd say do it, I'd right 350 and subtract 053, he's know it was 297, how the hell could he know? He couldn't, but he did, and he did it for ANY number. Whatever, I'll prove who i am, im not the ufo kid.

Did the AOL admins tell you they have never been hacked ? LOL

They wont tell a
client that security has been breached lol. That would not be good for business. They have so many clients that there is no way they can keep on top of security unless you are a high paying business class customer and they can afford to dedicate resources to your account.
He
may have been really clever, ot he may have had a look at this site
How to hack AOL I hope that link does not cause trouble, a one second search on Google will turn it up in the top ten. I strongly do not advocate hacking, it is lowlife activiy and exactly the same as break and enter. Just illustrating AOL's "tough" security
Hacker, that's all. Nothing supernatural. He got your details from AOL when he hacked them. Just a name would do, but they had your address on file, from there, one can find many sites to get details on a person if one really wants to and has few scruples.
Just a teenager is most likely, you forget how new a technology the internet and personal computers are. Also, the rapid rate at which technology increases is another good reason. All the uni and college kiddies learning about networks and operating systems are learning bleeding edge technology. They are more conversant than most people, and consequently responsible for most attacks. Shame this cannot be curbed as yet, the students quickly surpass their tutors. Especially once they discover a UNIX-like OS and start to see how easy and powerful command line is. Most hackers are kiddies.
I don't know the answer for the number thing (do you have a cam?) but I would hazzard a guess it was one of those counting things like you get in email or a card trick were you always pick the Queen of hearts.
Have your computer completely formatted and reinstalled. Most likely he has left you a calling card that will come back and bite you when he is in the mood for some fun. In the meantime, immediately change all of your passwords and where you can your usernames. Windows by default has a blank Admin pass, which is the first port of call for hackers.
If you want to learn about operating systems and how to protect yourself against this sort of intrusion, my suggestion would be dig out that old P2, install
FreeBSD and start reading man pages.
To see if your machine has a blank password for Admin access on Windows XPLog off to Welcome screen. Make sure no users are logged on.
Hit ctrl Alt Delete
Type in Administrator in the username field and hit enter. If you do log on as Administrator, you have no password and your box is open to compromise. Password this account
immediately Make sure you will not forget the password. Use caps and small, mix in characters and numbers. DO NOT USE A COMMON WORD. Dictionary is the first port of call when guessing a password.
I take no responsibility if you stuff this up. (I can't fathom how, but I guess it could be possible)
