This is just a simple poem I wrote when I was engaged several years ago (didn't work out though). I submitted it to a poetry website, and wound being selected for publication the US, and the UK- and nominated for Poet of the Year 2003/2004. Even got an Editor's Choise Award certificate for it.

The Bonding

My mind to your mind;
Your mind to my mind;
Let our minds be one.

My heart to your heart;
Your heart to my heart;
Let our hearts be one.

My soul to your soul;
Your soul to my soul;
Let our souls be one.

Let this bond last through sickness;
Let this bond last through strife;
Let this bond last 'til death do us part.

I love thee.
