Hey everyone, this topic is to tell about movie characters that you were haunted by. In your dreams for example....

I was scaried when I first saw ''IT'' By Stephen King.
I always disliked Clowns, but after that movie crying.gif BBBBRRRRRRR
I have had one dream about him and I could never sleep that night.

And I have also dreamed about some werewolve creature (similar to the movie ''Ginger Snaps'' If I remember right) That tried to break into our house.
And I kept running trying to close all doors and windows, But always was to late for the last door/window to close and the creature attacked my and I waked up sometimes screaming, but mostly very sweaty and scared to dead. wacko.gif

I suggest you don't watch Ring O if The Ring scares you. laugh.gif The Ring kinda a bad rip off from Ring O for me and I think it doesn't scares me at all cause the original was was spooky to me. sad.gif

Anyway...characters that haunts me in my dreams... well....I've been chased by Freddy blink.gif & Hellraiser's Pinhead (but he was nice w00t.gif )

I found a clip on the net and there is a scene in there that is freaky. It's shows a guy in the background hanging himself. Snopes disproves it but it's cool watching it.

Oz hanging

when i was little, my day care provider would let all us kids watch Poltergeist and The Thing (the one where they are like in Alaska and the "thing" becomes whatever it eats) and I used to have nightmares all the time about those--I still have a hard time watching them.

Also, I remember having a couple of bad dreams about Snow White when she was in running in the woods and all the trees were snagging at her hair and clothes.

I MUST TRULY BE AN ODDBALL!!! wacko.gif

Movies have NEVER scared me at all!!!!
If you were to check out my link at the bottom of this post, then you might understand why this is...

I've ALWAYS sort of been "an insider."
When you know how films/televison shows are made, they just aren't as scary as they might be if you don't.

Personally, probably the creepiest thing that I ever saw on a sceen was The Trailer for The Movie, "Alien."

This was in the late '70's and I was alone in a "Studio Viewing Room" about to see some scenes that I had worked on, The Projectionist was up in The Projection Booth. For some reason that I STILL don't understand, He ran that Trailer. I think He did it on purpose, trying to scare me. ohmy.gif
Well, it worked. blink.gif

There was just something about the rapid scene change, the strobe-like flashing of the light, and The Voice-Over work that REALLY gave me "The Willies." eyecrazy.gif

Of course, I just HAD to see that film when it was released. But I found it Unbelieveably Boring!sleeping.gif

However, The Trailer was awesome!!!
blink.gif

That's what you call GREAT Advertising!!! wink2.gif

i used to get really scared when i was a kid also when i saw the video for Billy Joel's "Pressure"--freaked me out!
freaky6
When i was little i use to be scared by E.T., I never liked moving my stuffed animals or looking into closets fearing he might be hiding in there but about a year ago I dreamed that me and my siblings were trying to protect him from the government and i was telling him to phone home laugh.gif Wierd, but it made me not be afraid of him anymore.
saint seiya
freaky6...you have to stop watching movies.

I'm going to move this topic to the "Movies, Books and Television Shows" forum.
You can discuss you scary movies there.
For now anyway.

the only movie that ever gave me a bad dream was king kong...stupid giant monkeys....

I like horror movies, sometimes I do have nightmares but there are some nightmares that I like wacko.gif (I know) tongue.gif , but this is me. alien.gif
Mr. Blonde
This has to be the funniest sh** in the world. When I was little, I was scared of the T-1000. I thought he would come and 'get me' in the middle of the night.

When i was 7 years old i experienced what is commonly known as a "waking dream'
In this dream, I had awoke suddenly and looked immediatley into the far corner of my room and what i saw horrified me
There stood Michael Myers!!
The dream was so realistic I could even hear him BREATHE!
Needless to say I hightailed it out of my room screaming bloody murder ( whic i did in my sleep for real at the same time; I had many occurences of sleep walking as a child), awakening my parnets who were almost as freaked as i was due to my screams of terror
It took a whole hour to finally calm me down but sleep wasnt going to happen anymore that night lol
BlondiGeist
I always had much (much) too vivid an imagination as far as how movies effected me also... so in the interest of space and not making myself look like a total loon, I'll stick to one.
Poltergeist. I went to see it the weekend it opened on a Sunday night. I think I was 13? I hadn't been exposed to effects like that!
Guess who didn't sleep at all and didn't go to school the next morning because I was near petrified.
Heck, I scared myself looking at classic ghost pics B4 bed (like the Brown Lady of Raynam Hall and the Monk at the organ).
Iron Sheik
I was five the first time I saw Halloween, and it scared the **** our of me, I had to sleep with the lights on for a while and I was afraid to play in the backyard.

My baby sitter knew about my fear of Michael Myers (well she's the one who forced me to watch Halloween), she thought it was pretty funny. One night, her boyfriend showed up with a hockey bag. My baby sitter told me to go brush my teeth and when I got out of the bathroom, "Michael Myers" was standing in the living room, staring at me.

Good times...

I don't think that I was ever haunted by a movie character in that way. Scary movies didn't really scare me all that much, and I don't know if it's because it was just me, or because my dad lived in SoCal and I used to go on all the movie studio tours when I would visit in the summers, so movie magic wasn't as magic as it might have been for some.

What was disturbing to me, however, even though I liked the song so it didn't put me off of him at all, was the video for David Bowie's "China Girl". Watch that video and tell me it isn't nightmare inducing.
Zaus
The other night i had an encounter in a dream with kurt russel cher and some other celebrity... kurt russels disembodied head(with one arm still attached, with a nasty knife...) was sitting on top of an "obstacle course" that was wooden poles and steps strung across made of crude leather...

the b****** stabbed me, and cher had a bucket of water that seemed to magically always have liquids to throw at me.

As far as haunted by movies I think it was called Virus, about a missing soviet ship and a missing crew, something about aliens reprogramming the ships controls and building itself into a robotic army.

Or Event Horizon, those damn scene's with the chick who tore her eye's out and the whole "going to hell by creating a black hole for faster than light speed" thing.

thats about it... havent seen a real scary movie in awhile.
Jack_of_Blades
I can say not really, to the thread title. I saw Jaws when I was really young (like 3 or 4)
and the only time I became upset in the movie was when the shark died.

I don't know why but alien movies really mess with me though. I remember see one of
the movie and having to keep the lights on and cover the windows when I slept...
I still do it sometimes... mellow.gif

Ooooo, scary post numer 666
Bear's Quest
I do remember one scary dream I had back as a kid, it involved dinosaurs and 'sleestaks' if thats how you pronounce them. I do believe the name of the t.v. saturday morning show was 'Land Of The Lost.' I was running from the sleestaks and then I tried to hide in a cave only to be trapped by them, I was stuck and yet thier hissing sound got closer and I must of woken up because thats all I can remember.
In another dream my sister was eaten by the T-rex and then I remember waking up crying, I really thought she was gone. crying.gif
Walter Sullivan
When I first watched IT, I was creeped out by Pennywise.

Poltergeist is another movie that still creeps me out to this day.

She was a disturbing image. I can't say she's ever "haunted" me, but if any horror movie character could, it would be her.

Anybody remember Sammi Curr from 'Trick or Treat'?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092112/
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lomZHKf9Exw
I went & saw it in theaters when it came out...
I had dream after dream about Sammi Curr for even years afterwards!
Umm...but they weren't the scary or nightmarish kind. I still have a thing for long hair & black leather pants...
Blue Raven
I really love to watch scary movies, but during day time only - LOL - I have only seen the trailer of The Grudge and I refuse to see the movies, I have nightmares about that child's face - I watched The Ring movies and many other scary/horror movies and they do not bug me as much. crying.gif
Withoutnight

OMG Pennywise is SO frightening! And I didn't even see it as a kid I caught bits of it for the first time recently on YouTube and that was enough for me!lol. Still not game enough to see the whole thing. He is just so creepy. And naturally after I'd checked it out I would have to go to the bathroom, eesh.

Everyone seems to think that Scream was this terrific film but the killer in his mask just totally haunted me after I'd seen it, I was nearly sick, I couldn't eat or sleep for ages.

There was this british tv series screened when I was little called She Devil which had all these supernatural elements too it that the She Devil story doesn't necessarily have in other adaptions. MAN that was scary! Don't know if anyone has seen it but months and months of sleepless nights in my household after that one, I can tell you.
xCrimsonx
Pet Cemetary, when the kid cuts the old guys ankles from underneith the bed. OMG It makes me feel dizzy.

The America Werewolf In London, spooky, spooky, spooky!

The Ghost in the Libray from Ghostbusters.

13 Ghosts freaked me out.

The LawnMower Man, "ring, ring".

Max Headroom was just outright wrong!
