How many people have noticed a red moon latley? I'm not talking about the
redish/yelloish moon of the harvest, I'm talking about a red moon. The last few months I've noticed quite a few of these. Jesus foretold of profound signs in the heavens. If we see them, we should acknowledge them as end-time warnings.

Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.



Since the Creation, God made the sun and the moon "for SIGNS and for seasons" (Gen 1:14).

I just made a post about this a few days ago in Sightings I think. I saw the blood red/crimson Moon on the 31st of December 2002 (NYE).

Oh yeah there was also an eclipse that month too. The post is called 'Blood Red Moon'.

I've seen a red moon many times. Every few years actually. Its like a cycle...

Pollution in the atmosphere. That is what causes it. A red moon actually happens a lot. It you don't look at the moon much it will come as a supprise to you. They are usually low in the sky. The other day I was watching the full moon rise and it was red and huge. It was an effect of the atmosphere. Once it was high in the sky it was normal.

But people think that just because it is caused by natural effects that God
has nothing to do with it. When is this going to end? Since in judaism, a
bloody moon is a sign for wars, and bad things that happen. Now, if a
bloddy moon falls on of their feast days, they consider it REAL bad.
So, if there is a bloody moon on... lets say Rosh Hashana, then it could
mean that the world is going to end. Now, I believe in the Bible, so I don't
believe that the world is going to end. I believe that the age of humanity will
end, and those who accepted their Lord as their Creator go to heaven.
Now, I also believe in the Bible UFO connection. And these aerial vehicles
have the power to manipulate our orbit, moon, sun, comets, and planets.
These vehicles were described as clouds in the Old Testament. In the
New Testament Jesus fortells His 2nd coming to the earth. The Bible states
that the moon will look like blood, and the sun will be darkened, and then
shall the sign of the Son of man be revealed in the sky.

With science, we take 10 steps forward and then the superstitious and followers of ancient bronze-age mythology try to drag us back 9 steps! People, all revealed organized religion is nothing but mythology and detrimental to mental stability.

Although I don't quite agree with Beowulf's post...I must admit that i see blood red moons quite a bit. At least once a month or so. It's not at all unusual and i seriously doubt the end is nigh

Everyone, no more need to study any ancient texts anymore. No need to do any searching of what the ancients believed because Beowulf just cleared it all up for us. Thank you Beowulf, for your supreme wisdom in the field of ancient culture and history. Also, I just love how supreme your wisdom is that you don't even need evidence to back up your claim of all organized religion being "detrimental to mental stability" and "all organized religion is nothing but mythology". At least all the "nutcases" I know that believe in an ancient text take the time to come up with a real argument with references to something written. They don't just say an opinion and expect everyone to take it as truth, they get a reference. So please, the next time you want to tell people something is detrimental to their health, at the very least you can give a legit argument on why you think so.

The moon often turns red when passing through the earth's shadow, this happens quite often, only when alignment is just right do we get an eclipse of the moon (the earth's full dark shadow, by the time it gets to the moon is just barely big enough to create a shadow) any other time the moon is passing through the earth's shadow- not quite in the middle- it gets a red hue to it. This happens at least once every lunar cycle

The attached image is a composite of a lunar eclipse, notice that the moon is red before it is completely enveloped by earth's shadow (it never really goes all black, only darker shades of red)

Yes, I have seen 'red' Moon's before, but they are orangish. This wasn't, and neither was it dark, this was luminous with not a tinge of orange. I'm talking about CRIMSON red. Now, I'm not saying it has never happened before (though I have never seen it and I look at the Moon alot), or that it is absolutely set in stone that that is the sign of the end. BUT, it IS possible. Not just because of that but because of everything else that is happening.

I don't have a problem with science btw, I love biology and genetic research and yes by hobby of astronomy, which may not be NASA standard but that's not going to stop me from my interest in it. But I believe that science only sees things from a human point of view. It's not to say they are wrong (although in some cases they have been), I just think there's more to it. That and, I believe that God created everything, in one way or another. Not everything can be explained, even with science. If everything COULD be explained, wouldn't it take the mystery out of everything? The world would be kinda dull if it was...

In my religion we spend a lot of time looking at the moon. It is a part of our faith. It represents the Goddess and has a lot of power.
What a red moon means to me is that there is too much pollution in the air and we are poisoning our Mother Earth. So I guess I will concede on that one it is a warning of the end of the Earth, but by our own hand.

I am sorry. Sometimes I let my fervor get the best of me. I will edit the remark. I get tired of people trying to proove the Bibles errancy with incorrect asumptions. I love it when people do send my mind for a trip when something that makes sence to me shows what appears to be an errancy! Because the verse says that the end will come when that happens. Not everytime it happens. In other words, when the end comes the moon will be red and sun black. Look at it that way.

Wow! Isnt that strange, I found this topic on page THIRTEEN of spirituality and skeptisism. An unlucky number for some....Ive seen the red moon too but in my belief it does not mean the end of the world. Its a very magical symbol for me.

Im sick of christians preaching at me just because I dont believe in their god.They judge me as being evil for this but everyone has their own beliefs. I have a very strong faith but I dont go shouting it from the rooftops, I dont feel the need to do this. Many christians, however do feel the need otherwise they wouldnt walk around in public, with banners and such, trying to convert everyone.
Ask yourself this question:
If christians go around with banners saying Jesus saves and going around posting leaflets through our letterboxers such as "jesus loves you"etc etc, then are they not trying to reassure themselves of this existence???
As, I said, the moon , the stars, the sun etc are all part of the world so how can it be that this is a sign of the end of the world?

Jesus was meant to forgive our sins. If he comes again, he will do the same. God is ever forgiving. We as humans were given the gift to reason, and search for our own truth. In other words, God allows us to steer away from him and his teachings. Even if we don't believe in him, in the end he will forgive us. (At least this is what was taught to me)
You don't sound like a christian to me. Your purpose is to be good on earth. This goodness does not judge those who don't believe in God, and your not meant to shut us out. Its funny, you say your a believer in God, but you don't follow his teachings.
