There have been like 3 hurricanes so far. If another were to hit an already-damaged country, than that would be massacre crying.gif .
Category 5 is pretty big, the strongest of all hurricanes.
Daughter of the Nine Moons
Ivan is expected to reach Jamaica by Friday, Cuba by the weekend, and possibly the Florida coast by early Monday.

That will hopefully allow my aunt and two cousins to fly back home to England on Saturday (from Orlando). They have already endured Hurricane Frances during their holiday.

i can't begin to imagine how bad it must be.
today, right here, we have had the remnants of frances dumping rain, and it's been a miserable day, never seen it wetter, and the wind is up, but it's not all that bad.
if this is one hundredth of the force that hits when a hurrican goes through, it's got to be god awful.
hope they hang on, and the hope the season is over.

again, can't begin to imagine how bad it is to be in an active hurricane, but today frances has moved on, and it rained for over 24hrs straight and dropped 13.5 cm in that time, loads of flooding here.
hope jamaica hangs in there today, like they got a choice.

Well at this time I am having the surrel experience of watching the reporter on the "Weather Channel" stand on the beach thats right next to my apt. And of course he is saying comforting things like how there's going to be 30 ft. waves; only problem is we don't have enough land for 30m ft. waves. Sooo I guess I will be looking for an apartment when I get back to Pensecola area.
