Jordanian police have charged a man with "immoral actions" after he went to a female-only wedding party as a woman to reportedly win a bet.
Donning a black coat and veil, he had joined the party in Zarqa, north of Amman, where unveiled female guests were dancing and singing.
But the women grew curious about the guest who refused to take off her veil.
When one pulled it off, panic ensued and the women pelted the fleeing impostor with shoes and chairs.
Police caught up with the man, named only as Salim, and arrested him, Jordan's state news agency reports.
He could face a prison sentence for his "immoral actions violating Arab and Islamic values", Jordanian police were quoted as saying.
