I took Karate when I was in my twenties, but I didn't pursue it for very long. If I had it to do over again, I think I would probably take TaeKwonDo. Check out this

Link It might help you decide. Any of the martial arts are worthwhile to explore in my opinion.

My cousin is in TaeKwonDoe. I don't have the choice, however. It's Judo or nothing for me.

Then yes, by all means, take Judo. You won't regret it. As I mentioned any of the various martial arts are worthwhile endeavors. They all teach physical and mental conditioning. I say go for it...and good luck!

I took Tae Kwon Do for 4 or 5 years but quit because the brown belt form was too hard to learn tongue.gif
But you should try Judo for a while. It couldn't really hurt to try it and could somehow prove useful one day. Go ahead and give it a shot thumbsup.gif

I recently started Tae kwon do ( got my yellow belt , yay!!) and would recomend any martial art for confidence boosting co-ordination and mental developement .

My advice . The most important thing to look for when choosing a martial art is the instructor a good intructor makes all the diference . And it's never hard just diferent .

I wouldn't do Tae kwon do. They always get beaten EASILY when they have style vs style tournaments.

For self defense i'd go for Wing Chung or Judo. Good close quarters self defense IMO.

But if you want to ask the experts go here

These guys are obsessed about it. I go there for fitness questions

If you want stylish kung fu i'd go with capoeira. Got some really cool looking moves
