Yes , the Quartz crystal is a very fine crystal indeed especially used with an Amethyst. Used Together they have phenomenal healing powers and not just 4headaches either. All crystals when bought though should be cleansed thoroughly with salt water, charged up with the sun so they are in tune with ones body.

Hi Norman,
By in tune with your body , I mean when you buy a cystal you must cleanse it and clear all negative energies from any other person who may have handled it before you, say in the shop that you bought from and in transit. That way you will be purifying the chosen crystal of your choice and pouring into it all your energies, therefor, you will be personalising it with yourself and if you continue to work with the crystal it will be tuned into your own body so it will work better for you.

Personal opinion: I don't believe crystals can heal! I believe in medicaton as healing LOL yeah but that's about it. Maybe if people think in there head that crystals heal maybe the people heal themelves by thinking that.

Thats fair enough D12, you are entitled to your opinion as any individual has a right to their views or beliefs but this topic was set up for those who genuinely want to know more for there are many out there who do believe in crystal healing and alternative medicine.

I totally agree with you VultureTotem about confusing quartz crystal with pretty glass candle holders and such but to the truely chosen ones, there is no need to go to E BAY or such for to those who know their crystals, DO know them and their uses well.
Kat Kloud, you mention in your post about headaches? Do you suffer with them???
If so , then crystals are excellent for dealing with them. Lapis Lazuli will quickly draw off a migrane headache, but you need to know from where the headache stems. If it is caused by stress, Amethyst, Amber or Turquoise placed on your brow will relieve it.
If it is food related, however, a stone that calms the stomach, such as Moonstone or Citrine, will be approriate. Moonstone , might I add is excellent for all you ladies out there who suffer with PMS.

amber quartz are called citrine and some minerals do not want to be
seperated from the matrix. citrine is not supposed to hold negative
energy so you shouldn't have to cleanse it. good for balancing female/
male energies.

should have contained a lol. as i am down to only one local shop i do
use ebay and established on line shops. right now i feel my collection
of rock friends/tools is complete and i know when i'm going to be attracted to new energy. also my headaches are from a physical source
i.e. herniated discs and i have a wonderful emerald massage wand
that gets results far beyond any western medicines. i have read a few books on the subjects but i trust my gut and spirit more. tis a great

the female/male energies do not necessarily pertain to gender. female
energy is usually described as the intuitive, creative side. and the male
as the practical, logical side. i'm being very general here because of time. it's like the right/left brain thing, one does one thing, one does the other. i like to think that i'm getting good at balancing these energies and i know i'll always be hetero.

To EmmaDuke, I hope that the information I gave was of some use to you and as VultureTotem said in a previous post there is no need to cleanse a citrine if dug straight out of the mountains as it contains good energies. The only time you should cleanse your crystals is when, as I said earlier, when you buy them, as they have been handled by many people in the shops and in transit. This is a must !
Also if you work with your crystals regually, you should cleanse them too. For Example:
If you work with a blue lace Agate, to discover truths that are hidden from you, then you must cleanse this crystal after each use so that it will work well for you when you next use it. Remember always keep your crystals charged for good results.

have i been gone that long? WOW some great stuff DNS!! i got a gorgeous piece
of vivianite yesterday, it's good for inspiring love and studying crop circles. of course lots more time does not permit(now anyway). see, i don't study up much
when i buy rocks but the right stuff always shows up. i guess it's the ol' "the teacher won't arrive until the student is ready" thing. like you n' emma hehe.
i also can "read" rocks, i see the animal, nature spirit etc. of rocks. i have since
heard a reference to a native american tribe which also read rocks but never
could find out more. so, any help out there? i do count these things as gifts but what to do with them?

...and yes it is also true about the student/Teacher/mentor thing too.For when I was younger, I felt I needed guidance with spirituality and witchcraft etc so I looked everywhere for a teacher but could not find one. Then one day, it must have been when the time was right, my then teacher found me. Of course life is a never ending learning process but I feel no need now for a teacher as I am quite advanced on my path. I am more than happy to let others learn what I have been so lucky and gifted to learn.

Great you have one! Use your Apache tears when meditating. Make sure you are in a place where you wont get disrupted. Right throughout meditation, focus all your positive energies by using your apache tears and pick up where you left of ( with the Native Americans). The Apache Tears will speak to you as it is a stone that greatly heightens ones awareness. It will vastly open up your third eye chakra. If worked with on a regular basis, you will see all the things that you need to see.

great info and vibes you're putting out. i wish more members were taking advantage of your wisdom and insight. first: i was very sad to find that i do not have apache tears, i looked on my list and found that it was marked, then scratched out, i guess this is not the first time i was mistaken on this but i shall have to get one. second: is that i believe emma finds citrine and was describing the color and not the fossil resin. i also cannot find ref. to it being found in the states. third: is that the arrow head i found is a man-made object ie. a native amer. artifact. i read up on spiral quartz and found it quite interesting though.

i am quite interested in the healing qualities of amber, i have one small piece that was a gift and (coincidentally) ordered a couple more a few days before this conversation started. NO, i do not believe in coincidence. i did not buy them for their healing qualities but rather their aesthetic value. have you ever heard of an amethyst scepter? it does not look like quartz scepter but like a double-terminated with a stem on the end. i cannot find a ref. to it and have no idea as to it's uses, other than (like all amethyst) induces very deep sleep.

Hi vultureTotem, it is not Amythyst that is widely used for sleep these days, It is Flourite that promotes deep sleep. If you cannot get hold of a piece of flourite, which I dont think you will have a problem getting hold of as it is widely available. Alternatively you can use a quarts used with a piece of sodalite. Put these two crystals under your pillow and you will deffinately be knocked out for the night.

Wolverine seems quite interested in rubies . He is very lucky to posess one as this too is a very potent stone especially in spell casting and giving one protection.

i use malachite for peaceful sleep, fluorite for rest/meditation (crown chakra). sleeping w/amethyst makes it almost impossible to wake up. other members of my family have noticed the same thing. my sister even had an unexpected out-of-body exp. from amethyst, she was not happy. YES, any help with the amethyst scepter would be much appreciated!! it still has an iron-oxide coating and i don't even know if i want to clean it yet, i mean physically not 'cleanse'.

My ruby stone is kinda special to me because my mother gave it me when I was 14 before she passed away. She said it was special in that you can see six pointed star in it...and... to be honest I thought it was bit silly but I've alway worn it...to remember her. :-(

Its that my ex girl friend to shine to it and try to take it (infact steal it but my siblings sore to that... long storie infact I think spoke about it when I first joined this web site)...But recently I met this Goth and she kept on admiring my stone she said I was very lucky and she said there is force around me and she also said that the very fact you can see six pointed star in the ruby makes even more rare. It just made the hair at the back of my neck stand up...

Amber sounds like a powerful healer, I think I'll try that. I have been using amethyst to sleep, DNS, and it works so well. I am interested in that other stone you were talking about, fluorite, too, if it makes you sleep.

What about yellow sapphire? I wear this daily and even sleep with it, it gives me incredible energy.
