They are kind of small or short peoples...

i've read that pygmys have more chromesomes than us, did we de-evolve from them?

It sounds like the same thing is being done to them as American Indians. It's a shame that people that have lived in harmony with their environment are being run out. Especially when the people coming in are destroying the rain forest and basically evicting ALL of the living creatures that once lived happily there.

It is sad and it has been going on since the dawn of mankind.
