Full Version: Supposed "Yeti" photo
I found this picture on the web. Some guy claims that it is a Yeti that came into his base camp. But I think that he's a vicious faker. First off, if the Yeti had come into his base camp, everyone would be running, and the photo is pretty clear, and second, where is that red light coming from?

This picture is definatly REAL, and here is why:
It seems to be a small plastic action figure in a dark room, with some sort of red lighting coming from the side of it, taken with a bad camera with plastic wrap tightly over the lense.

It's daylight here, and it still freaked me cos the picture opened suddenly, and there was this yeti face! It's fake cos:
1) It's a close up, quite clear
2) The camera man would not have been able to hold the camera steady
3) Based on how menacing this 'yeti' looks, everyone in that camp would be dead, so who developed the film?
You'd very much benefit from converting these images into jpgs before uploading them, the filesize of a .bmp is far larger than it's compressed jpg equivalent. That way you'd also be able to add the image directly to the post instead of having it as a downloadable attachment.

Its a lo-budget fake .... wouldn't foot it in a 70's movie, just look at the collar & the epaullette area of the cape.

Couldn't have said it better! That photo is a piece of crap.
Oaky, to disprove beyond a shadow of a doubt why this ridiculous "Yeti" is fake, here is my analysis. Let me know if I missed something. The verdict: This "Yeti" looks more like a cheesy mascot than an actual crpytid. It belongs in a toilet with all the rest of the crap.

Looks like one of the fakest suites I have ever seen.
I know the pic is fake cuz i accidentally downloaded the 1st on at first and opened it with pint shop pro 7 and there is a guy behind the guy in the suit. i am a semi-professional special effects makeup artist, i cant tell its a suit and it looks as though the pic was takin at a horror or sci fi convention, probably a part of a costume contest

HAHAHA! what a dam joke! what some people won't try to pass of for a hoax. My firned sent me that pic, claiming that it was from some recent expedition to the himalayas. Can you post the original pic so i can see it? thanks.

Well, even if the Yeti's "meanacing face" suffered from "his bark is worse than his bite" syndrome, why would he pose for a pic? He's just standing there looking like a grim little poncey ape gone wrong thing. Definitely a fake.

#1, doesn't it look like "Archer, emissary of the Gorgonites action
figures" in Small Soldiers.
#2 Yetis (and Bigfoots) are shy, so i have a very hard time believing it would just walk into the camp...
