That's because to me it's a man's dream. But even in dreams and prophecies, you do have objects that are literal. No one should take all of it that way though. That's dangerous in my opinion.

I was always under the impression that the Revalation Jesus was what Jesus looked (or will look) like in His spirit form. Which would have nothing to do with what He looked like when roaming Nazareth.

I tend to tell people that it doesn't always work literally. A lot of the books are poetic. Again, it would be a problem in a thread like this. If none of it was literal, then we won't necessarily know his skin color (not that it matters to me at all) based on scriptures. We can only speculate. Nevertheless if we were to take it as a literal text, Jesus would have dark skin.

Off the subject: can you explain your signature? What is that?
Yelekiah
Sure, my signature is the sigil of Uriel, the archangel. His name means "fire of God". Around the sigil are other angelic names and an acronym for God's name.

Fascinating. You make that yourself?

It's nice.

Out of curiousity, what's the source for sigils and other symbols?
Yelekiah
I googled Uriel. grin2.gif

There's no real evidence to prove that their actually was a Jesus, as a historical figure. None of the main historians such as Flavius Josephus, even mention him. If he was real then he looked Arab. The Arabs are semitic and not really different from the ancient Hebrews. They were all Semitic tribes from around the same region. The modern day Jews are more European due to their migration.

Yeah, I was just curious, because obviously the source isn't Biblical which comes without pictures (sad!)

Somehow I knew this would turn into a christ myth thread.

*Genesis 1:26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth." 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

QUOTE
*Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5.)to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

As we are told all persons are made in "their" image and after "their" likeness. As we are told Jesus was a man, the son of man and of god, I believe Jesus is what ever the faithful believe him to be.

I believe if we were made in the image and likeness of god, and Jesus was both the holy spirit of god and Human at the same time, how can it be said Jesus can only hold to the appearance of a particular race or culture, in a world of so many races/colors, of people created by God?

crying.gif So many people have been murdered in the name of the god of love and the prince of peace, it leads me to believe god need pray for us.

Myself i guess that Jesus was a mixture of white and black (that he was light-brown).

It don't matter what color he is ...if you worship him and trust in him thats all you need yes.gif

Linked Picture

Here above you can see the human races. And below you can see a pic of Jesus, I would say he was a Caucasiod so that makes him a white man.

Not trying to argue
over semantics, but Caucasian
does not necessarily mean you are "white".
Some Ethiopians are considered Caucasian.

This discussion is timely, given the current global political atmosphere between Christians and Muslims, and has been undertaken elsewhere, using many similar resources in the process of the debate as to the race of Jesus as well as the efficacy of non-Christian accounts. Interesting to pursue the discussion via Anthropology.
There has yet to be found renderings of Jesus likeness during his alleged time on Earth.

However that which is cited above as the racial origin of Jesus is, within the field of Anthropological research, considered Scientific Racism, which was quite prominent during the Victorian era where it's "research" intent was inclined to propagate conquest over the dark race and continues to be espoused, contrary to it's efficacy as a true science.

However , if one wishes to consider for the textual record, via the New Testament and incorporate Anthropological models, as to what Jesus may have looked like, one has but to read the relevant passages to formulate a picture that Jesus could not have been a white man.

That he was Semetic would preclude he was a Caucasoid, as would the region the Bible claims was the site of his birth.

Also the Book of Revelations Chapter 1:1-15

Revelations 1:14
His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

Which also are not descriptions of the characteristics of a caucasian or white man.

For those without a clue, Semites are a sub-group of caucasions. Why is this even a topic of conversation? If his father and mother were Jews, he was a Jew. You can't wish him to be anything else. This would discount the traditional blond hair blue-eyed european depictions of him, like the shroud of Turin, as incorrect, but we Jews are white, sort of, but don't tell the KKK.shush.

Jesus, if he existed, was semitic.

How is it possible for an islamic man to be born nergoid ?!?!? i think its just black christians wanting him to be black.
Yelekiah
Islamic imo is associated with a religion, not a race (how can anyone be born a religion anyway?).
I'll answer your question: he is just born Negroid. And then he converts to Islam.
rofl.gif
Furthermore, what does Islam have to do with Jesus?
