Alright everyone should know me around here or seen me before. I hope I'm posting this in the right thread I think so...anyway last night I had a dream it's kinda weird. I had a lot of dreams like the same one as last night. I live in Barstow CA. We NEVER have tornadoes EVER bairly get rain. But anyway I dreamed I was with my brother driving in the car. It was raining and we were about 6blocks from our house.(I say our house b-cuz he just lives across the street LOL) Anyway we liked the rain it was raining hard then all the sudden we were almost home then we seen a HUGE tornado!! It's so weir b-cuz this is like the 10th dream I had about tornadoes, and we live in the desert! Anyway to finish off the dream we got home quick gathered our whole family in the house. Soon the tornado stopped..then for some reason I walked down the street. I got to the end of the block and it started again I got a call on my cell phone it was from a good friend of mine she was calling to see if I was ok. It was crazy I was outside at this time and I seen the tornado on the other side of tow destroying everything in it's path! Then I woke up!

Now the point of this thread is to get some feedback why do I keep dreaming of tornadoes??? I live in the desert we hardly get rain and never get tornadoes!!! And whats so weird is my dreams always start the same I'm in the car with a family member it's raining then all the suden we see a tornado we hury home take cover then it's over. But in last nights dream I was down the street when it started up agin and it was headed for me then I woke up.
By the way when I woke up it was 5:30 am....NE1 know why I dream of this crap? PS-No jokes either I'm trying to get some real feedback thanks.

No joking D_12, you may be remembering a memory of a past life, with your present day mind filling in some current details. Considering where you live I wouldn't think it was and kind of preminition, though tornados have shown up in every state.
I dont think you have to lose sleep over it yet.

I know nothing to lose sleep over the dreams are actually pretty cool. It's weird how they can seem so real! I mean I can see the tornado so close and it's so crazy in the dream!!!

Have you considered that your dreams may have nothing to do with 'tornados' but just might be a reflection of something which is happening in your private life...psychologically speaking that is.

I often dream of tornadoes as well. Are you under a lot of stress? Life being chaotic on you? Are you afraid of tornadoes? Have you ever dreamed of a Tornado with eyes?

I also have lots of tornado dreams, some are very realistic. I've never seen one in real life though as I live in England but it hasn't stopped me dreaming of them.

Are you fascinated by tornados? I am (look at my avatar) apart from that tornados are a symbolic meaning in dreams, especially recurring ones.

Yeah the only time I seen a tornado was on tv never in real life. And the dream seems so so real! Im not scared of them or fasinated by them I don't give a crap about them..or the weather. I'm not really under stress I have 1 huge problem that has been bothering me for months now and won't go away. Every time I go to sleep I think about it. But I don't alwys dream about tornadoes just every so often.... so I dunno?

I don't know about the past life stuff, but I get the feeling that recurring dreams have a purpose...in your case especially. Perhaps it is something that is going to happen in your future...not necessarily a tornado, but something destructive to you or your family- maybe the part when you go into your house and it goes away, you might find some solution- but the fact that when you go outside to check, the tornado coming back suggests that the solution is temporary...that you have to deal with whatever it is in a different way...

Yeah I don't believe the past life stuff. I dunno the first time I had a dream like this was months ago! And every so often I am having them now. I dunno what they mean so confusing!!! I think I might know why I have them BUT it makes no sence to have the dreams about tornadoes.

I live in Barstow, C.A. a small town in southern cali. About 2 hours from LA. Out in the middle of the desert that has no chance of getting a tornado.

i dont claim to know everything but maybe the reason you see the tornado for is maybe some 1 or something is after you that could be a warning sign???

I think your dreams mean something to do with emotions, are you having any problems or stress with family or close friends.

I agree with this theory! Are things happening at home that you have no control over? Do people over rule your decisions?
There is a climate change happening all over the world at the moment, maybe its just a reflection in your sub-concience?

Lets see no, no one is after me. I don' have any enemies. As for family or friends no I don't have any problems with family.....although I am having a problem with 1 friend that friend is like on my mind All day long!

i duuno what to tell ya man having a dream and having the same friend in it over and over is kinda scary theres gota be some sorta connection there maybe shes having the same dream??

Hey, I've been having dreams about tornadoes since I was a kid. I thought it had something to do with my interest in them, but thinking about it, I've been dreaming about them LONGER than I've been interested, lol.

I looked on some sites about dreams, and it says that dreaming of tornadoes could have something to do with your personal life and feelings.

They said to think about any threatening situations in your life - maybe this threat gives you the fear of the things/people in your life being wiped out of your reach? It may also have something to do with an anger that you carry with you - seeing as a tornado has an "angry" energy.

I thought about those points, and yeah, some of them do apply to me.

Yeah I did a little research on the internet got kinda the same stuff as you. Makes sence to me. I have not had a dream about them in a long time, but I know that when I did have them they were every night.

do you watch tornados alot on TV? read about them? been thinking about them? watched some show with messed up houes like the news from the flood or something like that? maybe that's making it?

Yeah, I've been into them since I was a kid. I always watch that stuff on TV, keep DVD's on wild weather etc. I had a dream about tornadoes the other night, but they never touch me. I'm always excited to see them, like, I wanna get out a camera to get a snap but the cam never works, lol.

Like I said, I looked up tornado dreams. I'll go with what it says and in some ways it's got me to a 'T', but I also think that it's mainly to do with my interest in them - weird interest I know, but I love that stuff. Don't get me wrong, I don't get excited 'cause of some dude losing their house or life, it's just the phenomenon, ya know?
