[B][FONT=Times][SIZE=7][COLOR=purple] i was talking abourte the other kind of zombies, not the haition folklore ones , or the slave ones or the one in a trance. im talking real government experimenting ones, theres this one virus calles solinus, i forgot how to spell it, but whatever, anyways. i didnt get this ***** idea from a ***** movie either, ever since i was like 4 or 5 ive been having dreams about zombies cannibal kind , the kind that are dead with a deadly virus kind that can bring back a person to life but they arent , because the only thing thats controling them is there brain, and they need to feed on humans and animals anything that is alive but yeah, eversince then ive been reading all kinds of books and news shitt. the famouse pirate frances drake , in one of his ship log book journal thing he wrote butits not mention , he see saw an island he was warned not to go , but he stopped for supples , he saw these hoorid creatures come out from the jungle and attacked his crew, they hadd like 30 men and only left with 7, they left the ohthers behind , and from his shipp , he saw his dead crew mates reanimate, he called it the island of the damned. so zombies go way far far back in time. in the mmid 1940's the chinese found this book from a famouse zombie expert from jeruselum. the chinese stole it . the book contained the anotomy of a viral zombie. the chinese were experimenting with theme , they wanted to make a zombie army, they tryed to send there army to attack the u.s. but they failed. but anyways, that the kind od zombies i was talking aoute bue for got to mention. sorry for the mix up. bye the way i love george a. romero!!!!!!!

I would ask you to mind your language, as I would like to think this forum is a bit above the 'trash-talk' that passes for intellect in some others. I am afraid that I have never heard of any such virus in any context outside of Hollywood or video games. Nor do I recall any stories from my Colonial Studies classes concerning zombies, although the Drake account has never been considered anything other than an unfortunate encounter with a local tribe.

It is my personal belief, and I cannot support it in any way, that the zombies you are talking about do not exist as anything other than the universal tales people tell of humans becoming monsters. Perhaps if you could source your information, I could learn abit more about this?

The only actual zombies i know aobut aren't from a virus, they are created in a voodoo ritual in which they are given a potion (main ingredient containting pufferfish poison). This poition kills certain brain cells and the victim is burried and exhuamed after 6 months. The person is technically alive, but it braindead, and the potion acts like somewhat of an embalming fluid keeping the body in tact if i remember correctly. I personally have no idea if it is true, i just watched a few documentaries and there was mention of it in a book i used to have called The Encyclopedia of Unexplained Phemonena. In the books mention, some scientists took an odd even as proof when they found a Haitian woman, who was presumed dead and burried, working the fields of a man known to be a voodoo priest....

You're not by chance getting most of that stuff from the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks are you? Btw the virus you're talking about is Solanum I believe, which is mentioned in the zombie survival guide, but the book is meant to be humorus, and solanum if I remember correctly is really some sorta disease potatoes can get.

Not one zombie thread in months and months on this site, and suddenly there are zombies in lots of movies and all of a sudden, what a coincidence, everyone starts talking about zombies and has been having dreams about them since they were young!

Zombies you are talking about are made by movies for entertainment purposes. If you believe everything you see in MOVIES, you're gonna have a very short life. Open your eyes, you live in the real world pal.

Oh, and don't tell me i don't know about zombies. I'm one of the sites biggest zombie fans. Seen every movie, played every game, read every book. Why? ENTERTAINMENT. Zombies are fun, but not real.

And the site, Zombie Survival Guide, was written as a joke. 85% of it came from Resident Evil, while the rest came from editing and imagination.

Incidentaly, creating a zombie army would be such a violation of human decency that you would have the U.N., a possibly even a few countries opposed to the U.N., descending on you like a ton of bricks. Heck, we can't even talk about embryos and clones without feeling all squishy, and here you think people would tolerate such a thing as mass-produced zombies.
