Hey gang. New guy here. I think it was around Halloween of 2002 and I believe it was 20/20 (might've been PrimeTime Live) that did a special on the house based on the Amityville Horror movies. They brought in all kinds of specialists, interviewed a skeptic or 2, even interviewed the family that abandoned the house a month after moving in.

My question is, does anyone here remember seeing a pic they took in the house that showed what appeared to be a little (ghost) boy peering from a room into the hallway? If so, do you know where I can find a link to that pic and story? Did anyone here even see that story? LOL.

Anywho, do you believe in it all? I mean, SUCH a strong manifestation of evil and/or poltergeist activity? Is it REALLY possible or is it just the stuff of movies?

BTW, I read the book in a day and it scared the CRAP outta me! Just couldn't put it down!

Hi Mike!
Welcome to the forum! wavey.gif

I remember when stories first came out about that house, and it scared
me too! I felt sorry for the family having to go through that, but then I heard
later that it was all made up to make a good scary movie.
If something like that ever happened where I lived, I wouldn't push my
luck, I would just leave!

This subject was a topic of discussion a while ago, here's a link to the thread;

There is a link provided within that thread that contains quite a bit of information(you'll have to copy and paste the address into the url window), although I don't think it will help you find the photo you're looking for. By the way, the story was a complete fabrication, the families that have resided in the house since the initial 'haunting' have never reported any problems. At least, not until you mentioned the 'ghost' picture. When was it supposedly taken?

i saw that 20/20 episode a long time ago. i bet you can buy a transcript of the show from their website or just watch it and send a letter to the address they give asking about it.
