Wow, i stand corrected.
Thanks for the link mleahy.
Cradle of Fish
Its obviously a Chupa.
Angelofmercy
Actually, even though it is an Okapi, it's still a good thread. This species was only just discovered comparitively recently (in the 1900's I believe). So there are animals out there that we have yet to identify, even thouse as large as baby giraffes (saw them at the zoo last month, that's about how big they are, baby giraffe size)

Of course they were found in countries with small populations (I can't remember if it was Africa or Asia) with lots and lots of forested land, so this is in no way evidence that maybe Bigfoot lives on the west coast, just that we DON'T have every living animal categorized
man_in_mudboots
Okapies live only in a very small area slightly east of the Congo Basin swamp system. so, central africa. they weigh around 550 pounds and are a bit more than six feet at the shoulder. theyre related to giraffes.

Thanks I was screwed on that one. wacko.gif

Like I said, an Okapi, but it does look like a Hyena in the face. Now that you mention it, it does look like a Hyena crossed with a Zebra...
Panthera leo atrox
LOL, the okapi is still a cryptid! tongue.gif

One Word: WRONG

It's not fake, but it does look like a clever cross between the two. The animal is called an Okapi (Surprisingly not many people know that one) any way here's a link if you want to learn more. http://www.ultimateungulate.com/Artiodacty..._johnstoni.html

Canadian, you're doing the same thing I did to you. Let's not jump on someone just because tehy might not know what they're talking about. You can't know everything. Besides, I don't think he meant that he KNEW that the picture was a Photoshop, but he probably thought it was a Photoshop. I'm not trying to jump on you, but let's show a little more respect allright? original.gif

Ha,this is coming from someone that called me a dumba$$. rolleyes.gif Anyways,I'm not jumping on him,I'm just saying that many people obviously know about this creature and have posted that. Now,this person is saying that it's photoshop, when clearly it isn't.One of the most annoying things for me is when I am positive of something, post my opinion and proof, and some other person that doesn't know anything about it basically says that I'm wrong.

Yeah, but I realized that fighting in forums is dumb. I'm not trying to attack you man, I'm just trying to do the same thing for him as others did for you. Anyway, If he doesn't know what he's talking about, insult him, but not so abruptly. Make good fun out of it, but don't make him feel like crap. Anyway, here's one of my favorite sayings, you'd do good to follow it:

Okay,I will try not to be hard on him.Just make sure that if your proven wrong or don't know anything about it,then don't try to prove others wrong, alright Rommie?

that's the spirit, just embarass him a little, but don't go overboard
bloodmoon
i just think its interesting that because theres so many programs out there like photoshop, that people automatical jump to "its gotta be photoshoped" when they cant be sure, like now, if this animal was a cryptid, and hadn't been proven real, what would happen, everyone would say its fake, and stop looking for it, thus never proving its real.

Go to your local zoo and ask if they have one.

Here, I'll even add more literature.
