Hey everybody, i've recently been having sort of flash backs but not flash backs if you know what i mean (everyone confused)
I've been re-calling memories of almost everything almost instantly for example today i was on the bus home from work an hour long journey and i go through my old village where we used to live and i see the bus stop as we pass and immediately i can remember the time/date what the weather was like when myself and my mom were walking home from the shops, also i'm remembering liscence plates of cars that were owned prior to my birth such as my dads first car i saw in a picture, my friends moms car i only saw it once about 7 years ago.
It's like i take a picture of the memory in my mind then when i see part of that image through my vision i can re-call everything about it. Is this a common thing for people to remember events of no importance?
Does anyone have a link or a topic that would expalin about the Human memory more in depth?

I would think so. Most people find it a handy talent!
However, I was a counselor for a little 8-yr-old boy who has a photographic memory, and he seemed to be really troubled by it. He couldn't seem to make it stop, to keep all of his memory "photographs" from flooding his mind. But then, I think he had some emotional problems. Most people don't seem to suffer from it the way he did.

Were you able to call the inforamation back at any prvios time in your life or did it only start happening recently?
I wish I had a photographic memory...I have a borderline short term memory loss thing myself...

The human mind is an amazing thing. Sometimes you cant remember something that happened a day ago, but then you can remember every aspect of an event that happened 2 or 3 years ago.
It's been happening since i was about 8 yrs old, it's gotten more in depth over the past 2 yrs though, since i've been looking into the mind etc..
1) dont smoke weed. it will ruin your memory and you dont want to ruin that talent.
2) hone those memory skills and it will help you on important tests and make your life a lot easier

Yeah i mean if i had this talent...i would ace every test i get specially history and geography...i mean all i have to do is take a look at the map and i won't have to memorize countries and places..
Yeah, it would be a great talent if you wanted to be an engineer, docter, etc.
that would be sooo handy!! i suck on tests coz i basically cant rememebr anything unrelated to Psi, Magick or Wicca
but just a thought that IF and only IF it is a Psi thign then i think it would maybe.. possibly be some form of remote-viewing... jsut a though.. i like to think both ways

I have a sort of Photographic Memory, I only have to learn a list of words once, and I know them.
Maybe something different from Photographic memory.
Or later it will develop to Photographic Memory.
But I don't see them as a picture, bit hard to explain i just know it.
I always freak out my mother when she asks me a list of words, and I can predict the next word she wants to say. (sometimes on luck, but mostly she asks in a certain pattern)

lol this may be weird but i have sort of a video memory... i can remember things like a person with a photographic memory can... but they're more like soundless video clips

Photographic memory is great.

ya photographic memories are awsome, i have a little photographic memory myself, ESCPICALLY when it comes to directions while driving, once i go there once BAM!!! i will always know how to get there..
GRRRR~!!! *shakes fist* darn you people with photographic memories!! lol. i have a wierd memory if its magickal/Psi related or important event that happened i rememebr it clear and easy but otherwise i cant use photographic memory becoz i an place things anywhere with my imagination and will most likely get it wrong. soemtimes though i can see the text book page and read it. need to focus that grrrr
