TY for those who explained, posted the facts on how the electoral college works. I was not sure I could explain it. It is a good system and it has worked so far. BTW they are already starting to throw out ballots because people are trying to vote outside their respective precinct...sad...Every vote should count but, when people try to vote more than once by voter farad or when people cant read the ballot, I guess the only answer is to throw them out

I think Kerry is a good guy, but he's more of a part on the younger group of Americans. I really don't think he's be good for the world's and America's main problems. Sure he is familiar with the young people and their problems, but think about the world. If he takes care of your problems now then, wait until you're older and have more problems, not only financially, but legally. I think Bush could be a good president, but not many people respect him now since we have gone to war. The war has it's pros and cons, don't blame it all on Bush.

I think Bush has been a good president and will continue to make the tough decisions.

Other reasons why Kerry might not win are:

* He is losing votes everytime someone votes for the green party. People who vote for the green party would most likely vote for the Democratic Party because they are much more compatable in the issues. They have no chance of winning, so it's pointless to even vote for them.

* The people that Kerry represents are mostly young, poor, immigrants, and liberals, and a lot of those people don't vote because they aren't illegible either because of their age, criminal record, or because they don't have citizenship.

* Kerry is also losing votes because he's annoying. I mean he has good rhetoric skills, but he talks too much sh** about Bush. He needs to lay off the insults and talk more about his plans.

I would definitely vote for Kerry because I agree with a lot of the things that he wants to do like, although I think they are both idiots:
* stop federal funding for religious organizations. Food that is sometimes provided in churches can be found in homeless shelters. Some churches and priests have ulterior motives. Some just want to benefit themselves and go to "heaven" by finding more followers, i think that was a Jewish belief. I am not religious, so I don't support it. It's kind of weird since I am taking a religious class.
* keep abortion legal. Why would you want more children in the world? The world is already over-populated as it is. And most of those kids are going to be screwed up, if they were neglected because they weren't wanted, if they had parents who were drug addicts, teen mothers, only one parent etc. It could work out, but a lot of times babies would be better off not living.
* no school vouchers. If people get these vouchers then there will be some schools that nobody would want to attend like Poly High in Sun Valley or other poor public schools because they suck, and privates would be too crowded.
* federal benefits for gay civil unions. Bush is straight-out discriminating them. Everyone should have equal rights. Isn't this supposed to be a free country?
* opposes abstinence-only forms of sex education. That is one of the primary reasons that there are a lot of teenage pregnancy. It doesn't encourage people to have sex, but when they do they are aware of the risks, preventions, ways to get treated, and where to go if they need condoms or a check-up for STDs.
* immigrants can get legal status after 5 years. There would be more jobs available for them and they can also pass their background check. Bush's program is only a temporary legal status that lets them work for only three years.
* would pressure OPEC to provide more oil.
* against drilling the Artic National Wildlife Refuge. Bush wants to drill it for oil, but it will be too expensive and only a little bit of oil in it.
* supports Clear AIR Act.
* against religious rehab program. Bush supports it because that's how he stopped being an alcoholic. To me that's just dumb because they teach the Christian Bible, i think. America is very diverse; they are many other religions. This seems to me like a program to become a zombie. Jesus, jesus, jesus, jesus, jesus, jesus, jesus...Jesus etc. That's all they'll teach you. I think that they should teach you about the harmful effects that it will have on your body and brain.

Not true, almost every high school (religious, private or public), at least in California that i know of, passes out condoms in the counselor's office and every incoming freshman in California (this i know for fact) is required to take a Health class their first semester which heavily studies STD's, different practices of safe sex, etc...



Well then in that case, lets get rid of Alcoholics Anonymous, the group that's helped millions of recovering alcoholics (including my dad, who's been sober 8 yrs now ) They teach in God, they teach the 10 commandments, they teach that there is a higher power and we are not them...now whether you agree with it or not, it's helped millions. Should we get rid of AA cause it's got religious stuff in it? I'm tired of so many people in America trying to force the country to become secular when the country was founded on certain principles. The French any better since theyve been secularized? I think not.

3) Bill Clinton, who is still considered the most powerful person from the Democrat party, pulled out from campaigning for Senator Kerry. I don't mean to sound like a whacky crazy conspiracy theorist here, but this whole rant is a theory...so therefore, former President Clinton knew months ago his heart condition was beginning to falter. He stopped jogging every morning, he wasn't eating as healthy...he had a physical earlier this year where supposedly "everything was fine." President Clinton at that time found out that he had a slight heart condition and it could be taken care of. But President Clinton, not sure if even he could help Senator Kerry's bid for the White House, decided to hold off on the operation until it was evident whether Kerry would win or lose. This way, to save his face of backing a failure candidate and to save Hilary's face for '08, he could have a routine heart operation that he knew he needed, right in time for him to no longer be able to campaign and speak publicly in favor of Senator Kerry.

So there you have it folks....it's not only the Republicans, conservatives, and right wingers that don't want John Kerry to win, but his own party has its own agenda and does not want to see it happen.
