I just saw an episode of the show and I wasn't sure what to make of it...half of the time it felt like watching Real World with middle aged people...
The stories themselves are interesting, but was it just me or did the crew actually ghost hunting seem quite unfamiliar with this whole thing? A lot of unexperience and not enough evidence I think...but I don't know...gonna watch a couple more episodes before I make up my mind...
Any opinions anyone?

i'm a ghost hunter, sort of. i don't get paid, have no money to buy any actual equipment, and to be honest, no clue what i'm doing when i do it. but i'll be damned if i'm gonna quit. it can be mighty scary, so obviously, i'm not going to stop now.

have you ever seen anything?

I did not get to see this show and have heard good and bad (about equally) on it. However I did check out their website and found it to be pretty darn good.

yep. more often than not it's quite unpleasant, as you could probably guess. to me, seeing them is far less confusing that hearing them. that gets me SO out of tune with what's going on. primarily though, i feel htem. not like with my fingers, just a clinch in the stomach and a painful tingle in the bones.

The show looked real enough to me, as did the videos on their website..the EVP's were pretty freaky too.....

There was a very interesting episode on Wednesday night. It featured a lighthouse haunting and they captured a chair moving by itself on film.

I love Ghost Hunters. I really do. Yes, they do seem inexperienced, but that's one of the things I like about it. It seems more real that way. My only question is this: If they are getting paid to do ghost hunts, and probably also getting paid to be on t.v., then why are they still working at Roto-Rooter?

eyecrazy.gif I watch this faithfully every week and enjoy the show. But the show last week creaped me out.I watched it real close , I even downloaded it to see it over and over and over again .It still looks to real for anyone to do it.I believe in ghost ,I have seen too many to count.I live with one that watches out for the animals! So look close to the pic, It's there believe it or not!!!!!!

With all this talk about the show I sure wish that I could catch a episode!

It seems to me that the two, Roto Rater, guys are in it to disprove, instead of proving ghosts exist. I call it the 'Harry Houdini Syndrome'.
ironjennyrackham
I agree with you, but i think they are "disproving" it because that's what everyone else is going to do...scientists skeptics, etc....if they still have evidence after they disproved everything, then they have proved in the existance of ghosts..wouldn't you agree? original.gif
FLY SPITTA
I watch that show it's hard to tell if it's fake or not! Television has so much fake crap and with technology it's hard to tell. So I dunno.... I'm still trying to figure out if wrestling is fake! laugh.gif

I watch them almost every week and I think they seem real enough to me. I find the show interesting. Ghost hunting sounds pretty interesting. mellow.gif whistling2.gif
The Pewee
ironjennyrackham, I agree. thumbsup.gif Someone is suppose to get hit, on this weeks show, I think. At least they showed a crew member lying on the floor on his back, so I'm assuming something wild happened.

I've watched the show for the first few episodes, and I'm not impressed in the least. WAY too much banter, arguing, driving, chatting ABOUT driving, struggling for "ad-lib" conversation..... and when they FINALLY get to the "Ghost Hunter" parts, it's so overly chopped up, with so many reaction shots, that I find myself yelling "WELL LET'S SEE THE DAMNED THING!!!" before they finally finally show you an infinitesimally tiny piece of video. And how do they show the audience any video they've captured? By having a 12 inch monitor at the end of a conference table with the guys crowded around it. The Real World meet Road Rules meets...... 6 guys pulling each others chains about who forgot the batteries, who forgot the chairs, who didn't label the videotapes, etc etc etc etc.

Their website is much better, and you can go there for whatever evidence they've actually found without having to sit through this horribly wasteful "show". If I want to see constant animosity with a carload of perpetually annoyed guys, I'd take a road trip with my OWN family! w00t.gif

Avoid the show, and go straight to the website. Get the free evidence before they decide to start charging for admission.

I believe some things are fake, reality shows like that all they care about is the ratings, no ghost no ratings no money, there for you create the ghost activiity for more ratings and more money. thumbsup.gif

Agreed, but I don't think they put every investigation on TV either...howver, there were a few segments where no evidence was gathered, so what would be the point of putting that on tv if they were truely looking for ratings and money.....and another point brought up (I cant recall if it was in this post or another) that the group has been around for many years without the show, and have built quite a reputation for themselves....would they really risk that by faking their ghosts?

yea i dont think they are faking anything, i think they are legit, my brothers teacher is friends with one of the women on the show and from what i hear from him from what he hears from his teacher from what his teacher hears from the taps member all seems pretty legit, but take that for what its worth
