Nothing can beat an old-fashioned European broad sword.... (uh...the game of life?)
weeeelll a sniper in the bushes(MGS:Snake eater) could take down any one with a broad sword, Ok it doesn't have the "beserker" appeal or the "Eye to Eye" felling to the fight but... Clicking sounds has it's charm.
The first thing that came to my mind was Sephiroth's sword from FF7.
As far as first person shooters go, I;d have to pick the grenade launcher from old shcool James Bond Golden Eye for the N64. Damn that wa a great game.
