anybody have some info on the jersey devil? the link gives the story of the devil pretty long though you might wanna just scan it over.

don't know that much about it. i was watching a show on t.v. on jersey devil hunters and they went into the pine barrens with nigt vision and all that. then this chic saw something and started running, i mean she was so fast i thougt she was from kenya!!

i heard somewhere that it supposedly showed up twice over the years, and the first time it like, nabbed a child or somehting, and the second it didnt get anybody but the people in the town sent out a hunting party for a few days

There have been multiply topic on the jersey devil already, I myself, being a newby, started one without doing a search for other topics on the Jersey devil, you might want to check those, if i remember correctly, there was tons of info, in them. Sigh, that brings up old memories, that was my second post, i believe.

Anyways, go look through the history in cryptozoology. I'm sure you'll find plenty.

Actually I have spoken with her (Laura Leuter) and in a portion of her groups site in this section she says "This show falsified the ending. No, I didn't see anything. No, the footprints weren't real. No, we didn't know they were going to do that to us." In other words, they blew the whole thing out of purportion for "good tv." I'm not writing this to be a prick or anything, no offense intended, I just wanted to clear this up.

i did a search for the jersey devil. you know it being october and alll. well i found a sight that tells the legend of its birth and the sightings of it over the past 250 years. so i was wondering how many of you feel its for real. i do b/c there is too much evidence to say otherwise and if given the chance, i would go to new jersey and investigate this all. anways, heres the link....Click Here

Does anyone on this board have their own Jersey Devil stories? I believe that there is something out there in Pine Narrows, however, I would rather be there myself to feel, see and hear the strangeness. I don't live in NJ, but a neighbor of mine may have seen a creature similar to what is described as the JD. No wings on her creature though, just an extremely strange looking animal chillin' by a shooting range in South Central PA.

ok u want my theory? my theory is that it is for real, is a demon and was sent my satan himself to terrorize the state of new jersey. like most of the original 13 colonies, new jersey was created for religious freedom and what better what to scare humans than with a demon? satan knew how we would react and then tricked us a few times into believing it was dead and then brought the thing back so we would go into mass histeria
