I think that the biblical babylon is not a place but more about a system of things. when you look at revelations and the fall of babylon the great it seems to me they are talking about the fall of society and all the "material worldly thing" we as humans hold dear to us. I think the bible deals more with the spiritual then the physical and what we do in the physical world effects what happens to our spirits. this is just my 2 cents.
