weed is just a drug. the thing i find about it that's closest to making it paranormal is the fact that it's in the stimulant section of drugs. to me, this makes no sense.

Marijuana does nothing more than alter your perception. I can see how this would lead someone to believe it to induce paranormal phenomenon, but really its all in your mind.

Let me put it this way, if you tell someone, or report that you have seen a ghost, shadow person, alien, chupacabra, lochness monster, had an OBE, got abducted, saw a cattle mutilation, or had the MIB chasing you, generally following it up with:
"Duude! and i was sooooo HIGH man...." i doubt anyone will believe you.

anyway, i was interested in the whole stimulant/hallucinogenic thing to look it up. according to the following site, it has a category all its own, which to me seems like a cop out.

The actual effect you get from THC is a defense mechanism of the plant, it renders bugs and small animals unconscious if they decide to eat the buds. When its seeds have matured, the plant re-absorbs the THC, so bugs and animals can eat it, and spread the seeds.

I'd have to disagree. If you want to experience time slips, body frye, and dream states, then you should look into the effects of Psilocybin Mushrooms. Marijuana hardly does any of this.

pot affects the way your mind operates, and instead smudges the area of the mind that your subconciuss was in at the exact moment that you got high...Thus altering your normal routine by causing you to have an OBE or or a forgetful stage of thought, etc. As we can see that is definitely why pot is the most widely used "ILLEGAL" drug around the white world.

I'm not sure. Maybe he means where you body is in a weak, and exausted state, or where you turn to mush. Or it could mean when you feel you are no longer in your body. Or it could mean having a body buzz.

it's a drug. it affects your mind and your senses, makes you think things are happening when they're not. it's an influence, nothing more. it's what it does, thats why you take it.

In my youth...way way back.....I made a batch for several of my friends to try...unfortunately I got the dosage wrong and practical quadrupled the amount of hash recommended.....WE happily ate the lot and went to the local pub!!!!! I can only remember small parts of that evenings events...I do remember repeating the same thing over and over and over and laughing sooooo hard my stomach ached for days, also we emptied my fridge and freezer....but I don't remember cooking It took over 48hrs to get my head together And about a month before people stopped pointing at me

tis true pot changes perception but what is reality if not perception? i have noticed that pot will make some senses keener while dulling others. no, i'm not talking about munchies or halucinations here. I have a friend who's mother tried it once and she left her body, I never for minute thought she was lying nor do I believe she could fake such a thing. LSD is the window to other dimensions but our bodies and minds are ill-equipped for such journeys(i should know). Know that there is a big diff between getting stoned and whoopin' it up with your friends than, say, eating srooms and sitting in a nice quiet field with your own thoughts and perceptions. Some things can truly open your mind and our gov. is deadset against any form of enlightenment, so it's illegal. If you don't believe me find someone who preaches about the "evils of illicit drugs" and look in their medicine cabinet. personally, I try to avoid legal stuff (FDA my ass).
