When you get the feeling and your heart says one thing and you head another, how do you choess? head or heart? then how do you know its right. Have you ever done anything BIG in your life that you think back on and regret it?

This week alone, I can list at least 10,000 things that I regret. I just don't dwell on bad decisions, what's the point? If you have a choice, trust your gut. If you end up going against your gut, don't dwell apon it.

yes, but i'm talking LIFE CHANGING decisions. There well always be what "if's" even if its the right one,i guess.
BurnedMaskAJ
well sometimes people don't make the right decision, but they truly think they are
all you really have to do is check it out and if it's spotless (or better than the other decisions) then you could choose that one
just be prepared for many things
it helps to be open minded but not obsessed with the decision
if it works cool, if it doesn't then there's nothing you can do but accept it

There is an old saying "If there is any question in your mind; then there is no question regarding your answer".

If you aren't sure, you aren't ready. You will know when you are ready for whatever that change may be.

Think in detail about both options. Really give all aspects of your options a great deal of thought. Which one gives you the most peacefull feeling inside when you consider it? Choose the answer that gives you the most peaceful feeling. If none of the options give you a peaceful feeling, then the options probably aren't the best ones for you at this time, so you may need to consider others.

It is Ok to be nervous about big choices, kind of like jumping off of a diving board into a pool. If you consider your options and they make you nervous; analyze your nervousness. If you feel like you are jumping off of the diving board into cool clear water, that is OK, if you feel like you are diving into scary turbulant water, it isn't OK.

Choose the path of peace and harmony and you will be better off in the long run.

Of course, everyone does. It is a part of life. It isn't so much that you have regrets; those are guaranteed in life sooner or later. It is how you deal with those regrets.

Are you going to curl up into a ball of despair and give up on life because of them? Not a good option...

Are you going to learn from those things you regret and not do them again? probably a better option...

It is all a matter of how you deal with the things that you may regret in your life. To chose to learn from your mistakes and regrets is the best that you can do so that you are not doomed to repeat them again and again. Perhaps you may be able to help others that are in the same situation that you learned form in the past and can offer a different perspective to help them where you had no help...Who knows.

I hope that helps.

I use the same principle.

Any decision can potentially be a life changing one. I think everyone's already posted very good advice, just don't get in a hurry and do something really stupid.

If you're not sure flip a coin...if you want to flip it again...well, there is your answer.

You will always regret the things you didn't do more than the things you did.
KT
thats a very good why at looking at it
but i don't have any big decisions i was just pondering things today thats it
Mishari
lol, im your man KT0 about this thing. Man have i done something that really broke my heart and i really do look back and regret it and do say"what if". Seriously and this is for you own good, NEVER Ever follow your HEART at all cause it will get you into something that you never wanted and never expected to happen and it will screw up some part of your life. So Listen to your Brain and what it tell's you because it will tell you the right and logical thing to do.

Edit; removed redundant quote

but what if its something based on love and that sort of thing what would be the answer then i think you would just have to make a diction weather it be your heart or your mind depending on the situation go with you gut like Mentalcase said i cant think to much on it i guess and you can regret the small stuff unless you made a choice and it landed you in jail or something
Mentalcase
Follow your heart if your gut says so. "Love" has many regrets. Trial and error.

You will find the perfect mate if you keep trying, or at least it will be perfect for a while. Long enough to not regret! I have no regret for any of my past relationships. I have learned so much to help me with my future/prior relationship/s.

i have worked hard at the relationship that i am in in the future i hope to keep working on it. The only regret i can think of from this relationship is that i have hurt it.

Great advice. I've done quite a few things I regret. I've not done things I regretted not doing.

Usually it's best to go with your instinct... but some people sometimes have bad instincts.

The next best is get emotion out of it and use your head.

Then, temper what your instinct and brain tells you with your emotion. Use the emotion to fuel what you instinctively and logically know. Don't be guided by your emotion, that's a sure path to regret. (ex: "oh crap, I shouldn't have said/done that")

The most important thing is that good or bad, learn from it.

I regret eating coco pops instead of chocolate ready brek this morning, i like the radioactive glow ready brek gives.

My philosophy is quite simple; I'd rather regret something I did do as opposed to something I did'nt.

Imagine you had the oppertunity to do something and did'nt do it. Then many years later looked back and wished you had.

Oh yes, i just went through that this year where i had two choice to decide what i am going to be in the future, and of course you have to pick something that is more comfortable, guaranteed and you love. Don't force yourself into something you don't like or want just because the others are doing it.
TooFarGone
Ah, i hate feeling regretful. Its the worst feeling inthe world. ANd when it comes to the head or heart thing, i just let everything take place, and go with wat feels best. It can be a very hard decision to make.
