I think finding out how many languages in the world would be impossible.
Because during wars, even sending code messages was a language.
But there are millions and millions of languages.

Aside of agreeing with "wush", languages have been made along time ago and are now not used. Some languages aren't even spoken any more. Also, like wushu said, there are over millions and millions of languages. Some people create their own language and some continue to use them. But there could even be billions. In some places in the world, in countries, some states or territories have their own languages. Indians had their own languages - some aren't even used any more - codetalkers - like wushu said - is a sort of language. It would be pretty much impossible to list them all. Thats like asking someone "Can you name every single state (province, territory - what ever you want to call it) in the existing world. Pretty hard, no? It might take a couple of years just to receive half the languages in the world.

Honestly, not to offend you - no offense - but I don't think many people apply to this site to list many languages. They wont take there time researching as many languages as they can. Besides, once done, (which I highly doubt), what will you achieve?

Besides, there are old lenguages like Old Norse, Old German, and some lenguages we woudn't even know about. Like the ones that some tribes in Africa make up and have basically no name in our language.

Doing a little research - found out that slang is actually condisdered a language. Theres over thousands and thousands of types of slang (country, brooklyn accent, etc.) that it would take years to complete half.

Totally agree with you on that. And getting even more detailed - like "crystalmoon" mentioned, hillbilly is slang - considered a language. Going detailed, there are different kinds of hillbilly (correct word would be country slang). Texas, Wisconsis, Montana, etc.
