I actually liked Phantasm for an older movie, and I loved the Village. The movie that really sucked was Friday the 13th. The first one was so freakin bad. i hear good and bad talk about the grudge....i always check movies out for myself despite critics so I will be seeing it since it looks interesting.

The village F***** blew.It was good till about 3 quarters of the way through. Then we find out that there is nothing scary, protecting kids from civilization, and the "monster"is actually a handicap with ADD.It was terrible. The first friday the thriteenth sucked, but the following ones were awesome.

I agree with how you watch movies. If it looks interesting,I'll go see it nomatter what the critics say.The critics are dumb anyway. It always says-two thumbs up,or thumbs up.Are these two critics babies or handicaps? Is that all they can do?It get's really annoying.

House of the Dead, heck it's not even a movie. It's an hour and a half long techno music video with people doing matrix moves. Worst of all, they're letting the same guy driect a Alone in the Dark movie.

House of 1000 Corpses was ludicrous too.

I thought the Grudge was actually pretty good, I had to sleep with the TV on that night for my nightlight lol. It's scary when you look at it from a girl's point of view who's alone in a house...and yes the animation may not be the best, but a movie can be about extending your imagination too.
Quite frankly, SAW was THE WORST EVER!!! It's pretty sad when the FULL movie theater is laughing at every thing that supposed to be scary. Because the acting was bad, even though I love Cary Elwes, this was not a good part for him, and same with the other guys in it. All around worst actors to fill these parts, you know the ENTIRE movie in the first 5 minutes and the ONE twist that was sort of a surprise, lasted all of 5 seconds. The end was not gory, I'm surprised this movie was even rated R.

No way, they must have seen a different movie than me then lol. This movie doesn't show you anything too gory. I get freaked out easily and I wasn't freaked except once and it was a pathetic freak out. It's not Silence of the Lambs because at least you don't know the whole movie, and the acting was honestly very bad. Period. The only good actors in it was the wife and the actual killer guy. The big surprise is at the end though, the very last 30 seconds. That was the only good part of the movie. Just don't have high hopes when you go see it. Burnside, if you hated Grudge then you'll really hate Saw, save YOUR money this time.

i remember this one movie, it was like...waxworks or something. i think drew barrymore had a bit part in it, least that's what i heard. some house has a little wax musuem in it and some teenagers go check it out. they cross the velvet ropes and then enter the world of the waxwork display. it was kind of interesting and i enjoyed it, despite it's obvious cheapness and it's many unintenitonally goofy bits.
my favorite part of this movie was when the townsfolk figure out what's up and raid the house. the velvet ropes are knocked down and the movie monsters and other such folk (werewolf, dracula, marquis de sade, etc) are released and the townsfolk have this...insane fight with them. dracula makes a break for it by turning into a bat. some townee grabs him out of midair, puts a revolver up to its head and in one of the most intense voices i have EVER heard just says "die." oh my lord, i laughed for days about it.

The worst "horror" film ever? Despite my love for the creatures, it was El Chupacabra. Utter stupidity. Every other word was swearing and the blood was very overrated. The Chupies themselves looked like rabid balding chimpanzees...I mean, come on, didn't the creators ever research them?! They look more like dogs than that! And anyway, the acting...Don't get me started, it was absolutely terrible. The "hero"'s face got really screwed up every time he blinked or anything like that, and they just sort of jump into the plot without explaining anything. I mean, one minute it's "I hate you", the next is "Let's work together". And forget horror, that movie was a comedy. I just about lost my soda every time the 'hero' blinked, because I'd pause and his face would be all scrunched up. Two words though: Avoid it.
