The worst rule and most completely controlled Government in the civilized world. Some of the biggest men in the United States are afraid of something; they know that there is a power so organized, so subtle, so interlocked, and so complete that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.

I'm not sure about a source, but the Federal reserve bank is a private organization owned and run by about 7 or 8 folks/banks.

If you look up FRB in the phone book, it is not under Government listings.

They just loan money to the U.S.

I found the quote in a documentary about the Fed and on another site. Just go to google and type in about the first sentence. You'll find a few sources there.

From what I read and heard about the Fed, it was made to make money and it profits mostly from war. They say it was also started from bamkers in London so the Fed, which they say controls the government is actually crontrolled from London. I also read about how the Fed trades money with the government using non-Fed notes and how the Fed makes a nice profit from this but I forgot almost all of it.
