I like being able to put a face with a name(well a handle actually). Dang we have a lot of good looking people here; it kind of blows my preconceived idea that we are all a bunch of computer geeks with tape on our glasses and pocket protectors...

One of the calls I made it to made the local news...although you can't really see my face in this photo I did make it into a closeup from the helicopter camera in the video feed on the news. This is a screenshot from the news website; my friend and fellow firefighter broke his leg(badly) after getting tossed off of a ladder when we were trying to figth the fire; the trailer started to collapse and he fell 15 feet and hit the ground. Normally it isn't too bad to fall that far, but we are wearing an extra 100 pounds of gear or so. In the screenshot I am on the bottom left kneeling near the white stretcher( holding his leg that was broke and twisted around 180 degrees- ouch)as we are taking care of the firefighter that got hurt.

The cool factor comes in that the trailer was collapsing at that point and guys were using pike poles to hold up the side of the trailer so that it didn't come down on us.
About 20 seconds after we got him on the stretcher the side of the trailer and its contents collapsed and burst into flames.

Having been arrested Geko then thought he should take up a hobbie to stop him getting into trouble. So he started playing guitar...



Geko is now a big rockstar! He plays all over the world....even Budokan. Here he is getting ready for his next show.....
