I have around 40-50 songs on my computer and they were all in real media format, however when my friend sent me a videa which was on Windows Media Player I had to download the new version which was Windows Media Player 9.

To make the long story short, after I restarted the computer all my songs have switched from Real Media to Windows Player and since I hate Windows Media Player I want to switch them back.

Is there anyway I can do that?

Thanks In Advance.....

Of coarse you can change it back.

Open Windows Media Player.
Click Tools at the top.
From the menu that opens click Options.
A new window will open.
In that window click the "File Types" tab at top.
And then de-select the file types that you don't want Windows Media Player to play.
Click Ok and there you have it. Windows Media Player will no longer be the default player for those files.

You may have to then go and reselect these file types in Real Media Player so that it will then become the default player.

Or, if you have these files on the computer you can -
right click on the file.
then click open with.
click choose program.
then select the program you would like to use to open these files.
then make sure you put a tick in the box that says always use this program blah, blah, blah.
and click ok.
