i just want to know how many people believe in their horoscopes
Curiosity
I check it almost every day and for the most part I'd say that fortune cookies are more acurrate. My sign (Aquarius) describes me pretty well, though.

I do believe in horoscopes... go Taurus!

Hmm, I'm undecided about that. What it says for my zodiac sign is a bit me and a bit not. *leo* I'm not a leader nor am I confident about myself....

I don't read my horoscope and if I do, it's at the end of the day. Sometimes it's so right, it's creepy. And other times it's completely off. I guess it's just how you relate to what it's saying that makes the difference....

I remember a fun experiment m ypsychology professor did in class. He handed each of us a personalized horoscope, and had us read it. The he asked the class how well he did, and almost all of us indicated the horoscopes were either dead on or pretty close.

Then we each had to hand our horoscopes to the person on the left, and to our surprise they were all the same.

I don't believe in horoscope, it's like nostradamus prediction so fuzzy and wide so we could all fit in groups.

here's a common prediction: you will face new challenges today or It seems that mars is plotting againts you do be careful about what you say. Those thing are pretty common and shouldn't we always be careful about what we say?

They are basically saying something random, then the reader will choose what to keep for them selfs, culturally and socially good but shouldn't be used for major things (flip a coin instead)

no. the way they work is they take twelve things that apply to everyone. Theey're so general, therer's pretty much no way they can be wrong. It's like me predicting you will eat today. And if you stay optomistic, good things will happen.

I believe in astrology, but not horoscope forecasts....especially daily ones...I believe the stars can tell us a lot about who a person is, but not what will happen to that person on a daily, weekly, monthly, or even yearly scale.

I've read a lot of books about astrology and about birth charts and all the different planets in your houses, etc....astrology does a great job of defining a person...after doing my birth chart and reading everything that related to who i am as a person...my personality, attitudes, my past present and future, the way i am in a relationship, etc, it was all dead on...however I also noticed that a generalized horoscope will never be accurate because it only takes into account where the sun was the time of your birth. It doesn't take into account everything else in our solar system. If you wanted a true horoscope, it can't be one that is so generalized as to go by just your sun sign....

Take me for example...I was born 8-15-84 and my sun was in Leo...so since birth, I've been regarded as a leo...however, my moon was in aries, and my ascending sign is virgo...SO...that's more specific to who I am...then you have to go down the list of where all the other planets were when you were born. Leo is only one small part of who I am, so a horoscope will only explain what small part of who you are as a person might happen to you, which is why I don't follow it.

my astrological sign couldnt be farther off. I am a virgo, and i am supposed to be neat and organized, but my room is a mess, and so are all of my school binders

I read my horoscope. The first line said, 'Ignore bad advice.' Fine. I stopped reading my horoscope.

Tell me the time, date and location of your birth and I'll let you know two other aspects about you...being a virgo is only one part...tell me that information and I'll figure out what other two parts you are (the moon and ascendig signs are seen as the most important when combined with your sun sign...your sun sign being virgo) and we'll see how accurate it is. This will be a test.
