Hello, everyone.

I'm seizing the occasion emitted by Arwen. She suggested some help concerning - among others - divination.

Do you know the divination with playing cards (classical cards with the heart, square, king, Queen...)?

Do you have suggestions of interpretation?

Thank you.

Bye.

Olivier im not sure if ive heard of divination with normal cards as its mostly the tarot or cartouche (egyptian tarot) but i suppose it may be possible..

you might be able to give meanings from the tarot to each normal playing card.. to do this you could meditate on them and ask them wot their meaning is ...

a thought grin2.gif

lol, if this isn't synchronicity at work...
I'm reading a Dean Koontz book called "From the Corner of His Eye". Just yesterday there was this scene where this Mexican woman did a reading using four decks of regular playing cards. I'd never even heard of this before then... So maybe you could pick up this book? Or just google it - probably easier thumbsup.gif I just found this funny... laugh.gif

Is it a recent book?

Is there - according to you - already a French translation of it?
I' m somehow lazy and find it difficult to read English for a long time.

Olivier

P.S. I made a research : the French title could be "Regard oblique". It would correspond to the original title.
Could you please very briefly summurise the story (one or two sentences) to make sure it is the same book? Thank you.
Olivier
After a parallel (Franco-English) research, It's been confirmed that "Regard oblique" IS the French translation for "From the corner of th eyes".

I think I'll have a look at that book.

The synchronicity you talked about gives me the wish to read it.

Thanks

Go right ahead if you want Olivier, it's pretty interesting so far. You should know, however, that Koontz is a horror fiction writer, kinda on a par with Stephen King...

ok good profile now whistling2.gif

Hello Olivier,

they are some internet links to that talks about divination with playing cards. I particuly like that one. They have an example with the complete deck and the Romany way with 32 cards... I prefer the full deck. If you want, you can start with the either one, then as you become acostumed to the cards, you can change the meaning where you feel the need. At least you will have a good base to work with thumbsup.gif

If you want more sites, I would suggest to make a research on google typing fortune telling with playing cards. But that one was the best one I found so far....

Good luck wink2.gif

HEY guys..i know card divination well...i'm good at it actually..but it answers as usuall questions of yes and NO...ok i know..umm... whistling2.gif i think 2 kinds of divination anyways...here's the first:
first u shuffle the deck(usual) then when u finish u cut the deck in two parts as u do so u ask ur question example..make it a question of yes or no
then u put the part that u cut under the part that is in ur hand...
then u start u put 4 cards side down(u can see their back ) in the 1st row then under it another row of 4 cards and under it another row of 4 closed cards...
then u repeat the same but u put 4 opened cards over the 4 closed cards..then u start u start taking every 2 pairs for ex: u have in the opened cards in front of u 2 cards that have the same value (10 and 10 dosen't matter their color or sign spades diamonds...) u remove the two and u open the closed cards that are under them..when u have no more common cards in front of u opened u take the cards remaning from the deck(the ones that weren't placed face up or down) then u start taking three cards and look at the third if there's 1 with the same value opend infront of u then u remove both and check the card after the third 1 that u removed if it is not found u put at the ack of the deck..u keep on doing this until u have no more cards opened infront of u or until u have no more matching cards appearing in ur hands...if all cards were removed the answer is yes if u still had opened cards then it's a no
It's really quite simple and easy but i'm noth that good in explaining so i guess i made it a bit complicatd:P lol laugh.gif sry for that but it's the best i can do...i'llpost the other 1 another time cz i got to sleep now 2moro i got skool disgust.gif

Thanks, The Portal for the interesting and complete site you gave the address.

Thank you, Scorpion Spirit, too. I've understood nothing, but it's more than 22 o'clock, so my mind is a bit blurred. Anyway, I copied everything and will read it over tomorrow. I'm sure it is of the highest interest.

What you say is not stupid.

Like any energy - money, physical strength, Kinesis... - the one of the cards can be used in a positive and in a devilish way. You chose. I especially think of the emissions due to the shapes.

I've found that book at the library (in French, phew!).
I'm going to read it (rather curious about it).

Thanks and bye.
