I'm confused. Why would the military need little index card sized reflective labels when they can pick up a perfectly good local map at the nearest gas station?

A little too alarmist for my taste. FEMA is making plans for emergency cities in case of mass destruction? *Gasp!* Imagine that! A government agency doing the job is was created to do.

Not to mention a handheld GPS.
The idea that the government is 'marking' road signs is fine and dandy, but why on the back of the signs? And if they are, who cares? what harm is it causing that they seem to be marking paths to 'safe' areas, and airports? Its not like the signs dont already point you in those direcions anyway

Other than another wild conspiracy theory, I have to say so what. I guess I just don't understand the relevancy of this link or the site.

it's a tool, just like a map (it is a map, but one civs don't understand), just like a GPS, it's another tool.

And the thing about different arrows being symbols is pretty weird, too.

Plus, the thing about using Wal-mart garden centers to DETAIN people in seems silly to me.
Though something like that'd make a good story. Or part of one, anyways.

Unless anyone has an objection, I am going to close this down. It seems to be unanimously agreed to be rather pointless...I see no reason to carry on a thread where the only additions are along the lines of "I don't get it..."
