NEW YORK (Reuters) - A Salvador Dali painting donated by the Surrealist artist to New York City's Rikers Island prison in 1965 has been swiped from the entrance to the men's high-security jail.
A corrections officer discovered the painting of Christ on the cross was missing on Saturday and had been replaced by a copy stapled to the back of the double-locked display case at Eric M. Taylor Centre, said police on Sunday.
