Full Version: Strange clouds

Alright here I attached a couple of photos that showed the weird weather phenomena we just had a few days ago.

That day, the clouds just formed and looked like we are getting a twister or something but circumstances & geographically, we are not in the twister birthing ranges. Did that make sense? blink.gif

Anyway, it didn't rain and wasn't that very much windy. The clouds didn't show any twisters hints. And it went away as fast as it came.

Ya guys know anything about this phenomena?

Tia
Cool pictures.
The way the weather is stuffed up nowadays it wouldn't come as a shock to have the unknown become normal.

Very interesting pics. Were there any planes flyng near by that day? They didn't have to fly *exactly* in the same area, just close by. Sometimes strange turbulence in atmospheric layers can be caused by vortex.
If not, then I guess it must be some sort of difference in atmospheric pressure fronts, cold front meets warm front, they push and create this. It doesn't have to be windy on ground level, but it can still be very unstable up there. Down drafts (wind shears) are something that approaches this..

Cool pictures. I found a website that may help you identify the type of cloud it is. They have amazing pictures here...hundreds of them.

Very nice pics I am glad you brought up this topic, 2 years ago I got some nice pics of a tornado forming, it never touched ground though. The ironic thing is I have chased these things 100 miles away, and these pics were taken from my backyard! I swear that the 10022 pic looks like the second coming

I have a book about Unexplained mysteries. And they have reports on the clouds filled with acid and chemicals killing yard plants and such (no humans known killed yet) They look about the same color and how its formed. Maybe you have some weird chemical company around you. Or its a freak of nature.

Been weeks has passed and after that phenomena, nothing is dead yet wacko.gif

The only company we have here is the oil refinery but that's like 20 miles away or so. It's mostly residential areas.

Nope.

Can't find a resemblance.

Somebody once said to me, maybe Hellboy is lose w00t.gif

But seriously. It's kinda weird. It formed, nothing happened and just disappeared as fast as it came.

Wow, the first image is amazing…

The first two pictures that this topic is about are pictures of a forming storm or type of tornado. The sun must be setting or the weather humid because the clouds are orange. The storm probably did not form fully due to the excesive heat and or wind duration.
tongue.gif Sorry to ruin the fun.
Wild_Woman
looks kind of stormy

i know, the thing is, my country isn't in a twister forming zone.

These sort of pressure systems are actually quite common, not usually as low down as this but they are known.
Many of these form looking like tornado's or twisters, and nothing happens.
