Ever since I was a kid I knew that when I went to sleep I was not dreaming in that sense of the word, but what I refer to as Travelling to parallel earths where my energy enters another self. I remember things I did from those parallel earths. I've found places that I've been to on parallel earths, for example after I moved to Ottawa for the first time last year I was walking along a road and across the street is a place I've been in on an parallel earth, I even worked at that place on the parallel earth. I have many other examples like that. Scientists have said a multiverse -- more than one -- is more possible than a universe, and psychologists & psychiatrists have admitted that they do not understand the mind, but only understand the brain. So, how do we know when we dream we are not visiting ourselves on an parallel earths...so what does everyone think, give me your views and thoughts?!

Travelling to parallel earths where my energy enters another self??
What exactly do you mean by "parallel earths", did you actually see yourself travelling to this parallel earth or is your mind actually just imagining you in places you see in real life? People get Deja vu all the time.

' Parallel plains ' may be a better term. It's a question I use to ask myself when I was younger. Most dreams are normal, but I'd have a few that were so real etc you'd wake wondering if a parallel plain was possible.

Deja vu requires that you've seen the place before, this is not the case with me...because I tend to visit the same places every few years in my Travels, and the places have new things (i.e. buildings, roads, etc). About two months ago I visited a place I haven't been in years, the last time I was there they were just starting to build a storm cellar, because of tornados in that area, when I visited it 2 months ago they were just about finished it, and we talked about what was happening over the years since I was last there, etc.

No, I believe in the multiverse theory, so for me I prefer parallel earths...I don't dream like other people, that's why I believe dreams are actually us -- or energies/mind -- being able to visit these other earths when we sleep.

I believe it's a possibility. I know that you do leave your body when you sleep, wether or not it's every time I don't know. I remember having a really bad dream and all of the sudden realizing that it wasn't right and telling myself to go back to my body. I felt myself fall and everything went black thus being able to wake myself up. Was kinda odd. I do believe that when we travel the astral planes it is highly possible that we are traveling to parallel universes.

It could very well be in certain cases, maybe when people dream about something happening sometime in the near future it's just your energy/mind going to a parallel earth that may be a day, week, month, or year ahead of the one you are living on.

Well, we have a somewhat similiar outlook on what dreaming actually is.

Interesting
...idea maybe parallel realities exist.
LOL
Maybe our whole life is a dream? Maybe Marilyn is still alive.
But then life seems so real <LOL>

interesting thought......but to me dream is nothing like travelling in time or being in parallel earths or any of that. A Dream to me is made of what is hidden inside of you, your soul. you see when you dream you always visulize something either it is clear or unclear....but the clearer the dream is the more it is real and could happen or has happened. If you have a dream that is totally not clear and is just confusing then it is because of how you feel about yourself or your soul is crying out for something that you need. Quite Simply a Dream is just a vision to help someone with what they really want, so it's like a magic wand but you can not control it in order.

dreaming is traveling in the depts of the mind( according to me, of course), it's a blend of memory, imagination and sensation. A mind is complex and infinite, kind of like a expending universe where everything is limitless, a working mind will expend trough knowledge and experiences.

I have had the same exact experience you describe and I too have concluded that I am not dreaming but actually traveling to parallel realities. On atleast two occassions I even woke up tired from my journies. But on a more provactive thought, have you considered that just as you have enter your self in another reality, that that self or another self (for that matter) has entered you!

Some of the dreamsI have feel like they are meningful they send an emotion called "mough" or something like that (I just made up the word because when I was trying to think of a word, my mind gave me something like that) Some of my dreams, were connected to other dreams, like the same thing would happen, only a slight variation, and I would know what was gonna happen, but only able to change it slightly. the mough dreams feel like their coming from something else.

to me..the astral plain is a highway.
Once u fall asleep you enter the plain/highway, and from there its like a game of connect 4 with the multiverse theory. You can enter a bunch of universes, an infinite amount, and when something isnt happening the way it should you get sent back into your body like a jolt. That why when you jump up out of bet like you have fallen...its because u have fallen back into your universe...this one.

How did you know? was it only a feeling? Maybe paralell earths are only a concept that can't exist outside of the human mind?
where my energy enters another self.
The subconcious self? Remember, all children want to feel that they are special, and different in some way than others, This may have been your outlet.
I remember things I did from those parallel earths. I've found places that I've been to on parallel earths, for example after I moved to Ottawa for the first time last year I was walking along a road and across the street is a place I've been in on an parallel earth, I even worked at that place on the parallel earth.
You need to gain a better understanding of the nature of dreams. For instance, if you have a dream where you have a different name, but when you wake up you can't remember the name, then perhaps in the dream you only have the IDEA your name was different, and your brain did not provide an lettered name, because it didn't need to.
Just because you get a feeling that a place you visit is a place from youir dream does not mean it is. Perhaps your subconcious had a flag that will light up when you experience the next closest thing to what you had experienced in your dream.
I have many other examples like that. Scientists have said a multiverse -- more than one -- is more possible than a universe,
Scientists are also unable to mathematically determine how a bumblebee flies. Bumblebees completely defy the laws of physics, and no one knows why. they are the only flying animal that does.
Science can be wrong.
and psychologists & psychiatrists have admitted that they do not understand the mind, but only understand the brain. So, how do we know when we dream we are not visiting ourselves on an parallel earths.
We don't know for sure, but we can make logical guesses. If every one dreamed exactly like you, then perhaps the logical choice would be the one you described. Some people have nightmares. Some people can't remember their dreams. Some people have reoccurring dreams. Some people are Lucid in theiur dreams. Some people can completely control their dreams.
To understand more on this you will need to study deep into both the subconscious and concious minds, and learn about what parts of the brain activate during the different states.
..so what does everyone think, give me your views and thoughts?!

Hotoke everyone dreams. Most people block out what they dreamed about on a conscious level. I will share an experience that happened to me just 3 months ago. I was in Las Vegas on vacation and I got really manic. I dont mind telling everyone that I suffer from Bipolar Disorder. Anyway when I got extremely manic I lost track of time and I was awake for 7 days. The first three days were not all that weird I just had a little harder time concentrating. Starting on the fourth day however I would be sitting around and I would have visions of events from the previous days running fast, forward and backward almost like a movie. I now know that when the body is sleep deprived parts of the brain shut down just like when you are sleeping and it actually grabs seconds of sleep when it can. They call this microsleep. When I was finally given medication to sleep at the hospital I had what was dfinately the most lucid dream of my life and parts of it were made from the reality of my surroundings in the emergency room. The nurses later told me that I was in and out of consciousness for 3 days a time that felt like a matter of hours in my dream. If I told you what I dreamed about you would really say I am crazy LOL, basically I collapsed thwe Universe and changed 1 variable. Anyway I learned that if you have the right circumstances you can control your dreams and they do indeed contain a message which is linked to your conscious life. Hotoke try thinking about something you want to dream about every night before you go to bed and the first time you remember any part of a dream write it down. You will find that through meditation you can make dreams!

Insight,
Have you developed any firm beliefs about how and why you are able to travel to other earths? I'm in the process of developing some ideas now and sense we seem to have had the same experiences I'd like to compare notes at some point.
The only firm belief I have right now is that one needs to be in a deep, almost comatose sleep in order to - for lack of better terms "dream travel".

Was reading your post, and answers given, ... All I can say, and that is what got my attention, I have had the same dreams since I was a child. i.e. As in having the same "dream" again, and going back to the same place, meeting the same persons etc.
Like you I have been thinking that maybe I am living in some sort of parallel world when I "dream"...
The funny part is that some of those dreams have turned out to be true in this reality.

I believe that dreams are us leaving our bodies and travelling to reality. This "life" is the actual dream, where we are confined to laws of physics and time, whereas in our dreams we are visiting reality where we are all supernatural beings who can fly and pick up cars and do amazing things.

I had a dream long before I knew about the Superman comic & movies, where I was still Michael Lauzon -- as stated in a previous post -- but I had the same exact costume that Superman wears when I removed my outer clothes for my alternate personae of Superman...I could do everything he could do, only in 1984 did I see the first Superman movie and bought my very first Superman comic book; so you may be right or wrong, but since we have a Multiverse and not a Universe anything is posssible.
