Reading the news lately, it seems that the Netherlands is caught up in turmoil over the Van Gogh assasination, with the entire Muslim community being cast in an unflattering light.

There's probably no easy way out of this situation. Hopefully with time things will settle down on their own. Has Dutch society been irrevocably changed by all this? It looks like a hard line will be taken on all immigration issues in the future.
