First of all, I mean no disrespect. I have the utmost respect for those who were buried in this area...

I was just wondering if any of you have had and experiences(spooky, unexplainable, etc...) in the Cemetery, or know of anyone who has? I have spoken to a few retired military personnel, and they have said that they have had experiences of the like...

Any one else??

A friend of mine mentioned that soldiers he knew that guarded the tomb of the unknown at night could hear people walking. That they heard hushed voices. That these Guards, (I forgot their offial title--Forgive me!) are actually prepaired for strange occuances, especially at night. I would bet that they would have to be a really strong willed individual.

Ok, Im not an expert, so forgive me if I get details wrong... The tomb of the Unknown Soldier is there so that people can go somewhere to morn the loss of their missing soldier. A body was selected from WW1, (then later WW2, Korean and Vieitman) and laid to rest here. They guard it 24/7/365 out of respect... check out this website....

Even durring that last bad tornado, the guards wouldn't leave their posts.

Wow.

My older sister lives in Dallas and she took me to Arlington Cemetery about four years ago when I was down to visit. Although I sensed no supernatural activity, the atmosphere is very strange. the experience was very moving and emotional. The hair on the back of my neck was standing on end and I had goosebumps all over me the whole time I was there. The only other time I felt that way was when I visited Dachau in Austria.

Isn't Arlington Cemetary in Northern Virginia DC Area? That's where Kennedy is buried right? I was there once. But it was day sad.gif
Gabriel
ive been there more than a hand full of times.
its one of the gloomest places ive been, there is a big sence of sadness everywhere. the house at arlington was owned by gen. Lee the gov took the house when he deflected tothe south to become gen. the union made it a union cemetery for the war. Lincon's boy todd is there it sits under a tree where the first entrence was. it felt cold there , really cold they say mr lincon was never the same after the death of his boy, but hey who would be? the tomb of the unknows
is a tribute to the un reconizable or lost men of the korean war ww1 ww2 and vietnam. as the gard takes his 21 steps u can all most see the sprits of the men standing in a line behind the tomb. im sure there is a lot that goes on ( oh yea i saw the tomb of the first person ever to be laid there SHE is by todd lincon)
i man the grounds were owned by a defeted southern gen, in sure hes still mad a bout it

Oh Gabriel reminded me of another note of The Tomb of the unknown. Like he said, they take steps of 21... Pause for 21 Seconds... Do everything in sequence of 21, the most honorable number, because it symblizes the 21 Gun salute... The most honored salute a fallen officer can recieve.
