Which concert have you been to that really stands out in your mind, and why?
Mine would have to be David Bowie. I'm absolutely in love with him and I'm happy I got to see him live, considering he may not tour again. He played most of my favourite songs (except for Space Oddity and Golden Years) and was so charming between songs.

Other than that, the most entertaining show I've ever seen was Green Day. I saw them at a music festival, and they just rocked for 1 solid hour, they were funny, they interacted with the crowd wonderfully and were just all around fun.

Mine would also have to be the David Bowie concert i went too.
Hey, weren't you there too Dis? I think i saw you there.

It was memorable because it was my first, for one, and because of the company.

Other than that, seeing Bryan Adams live was really awesome except he played a really crappy version of 'SUmmer of 69'.

cattle club. Sacramento California.
Deftones. Before they were signed to a label.. The opening band was Far . That was so groovy.
Moe always likes the small shows better. The walls shake and the bass drums buzz your entire body.

I had tickets for Phish this summer in Noblesville, In for a weekend festival. This was a two-night show set on their last tour before retirement. My friends and I camped out near the venue and stayed the whole weekend. The weather was great and the people were even better. The music was great but it could not hold a candle to the experience, it was one of the best weekends in my life. I have seen 17 Phish shows(and enjoyed many other bands) in the past but, last summer's Phish gig was my favorite. I will most likely tell my kids about it someday. It was so special.

O Phish is jazzy. Moe attended a Phish concert while living in Maine. Many phish phans aborad. The parking lot was full of flag waving tents. Indeed, Moe never made it out of the parking lot.

Phish is quite jazzy indeed. I went to my first show when I was 13 and have followed them for the last 13 years.
A very unique experience...Too bad they are done now!

Oh, how I looooove concerts. Let's see...Metallica, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater...I saw Maiden at the Hammerstein Ballroom and was close enough to the stage that I could've bathed in Bruce Dickinson's sweat if I wanted to, but I have to say the best was when I saw Dream Theater back in April. No opening acts, just three hours of Dream Theater being perfect, as usual. It was mindblowing.

well, ive only been to 3 concerts, all of them this year. and i would have to say that the best one was the last one i went to, at the end of the summer. it was a giant metal sho, called the STRHESS tour, and the main band was Shadows Fall, and they kicked ass. but all together, there were 14 bands, most local, some signed, like SF, As I Lay Dying, and Himsa. it was a 10 hour show. and GOD was it awsome, even tho there were barely any good mosh pits. but im going to another concert most likely, next month, to see Dope(seen em twice already), Mushroomhead( seen em once), Twsited method(seen em once too) and Motograter. its gonna be a great sho.
Great Big Sea
Nov 18 2004, 01:43 AM
Great Big Sea this October on the first. It was great and fun! Two encores! We didn't get back home until 12:30!

My sister got the tickets for my 21th b-day.

Last year my sister and her boyfriend went to a Great Big Sea concert and they (the band) was kinda drunk.

And they sang Bryan Adam's song Summer of '69 Great Big Sea style! If you don't know Great Big Sea is a folk band from Newfoundland.

I can't remember....It was so long ago

but what was cool about it was my dad had the catering contract for CNE Grandstand that summer. So I saw the show for free and got to see him walk by within a few feet. What I really remember was how he mesmerized the audience. Throughout the whole show he had the audience in the palm of his hand. What a showman!

Probably The Pogues back in 1988 when they were in their pomp, at Manchester Apollo, with guest appearances from the now sadly departed Kirsty MacColl and Joe Strummer.
The good news is they are reforming for a gig next month, and I will be there.

(This is going to ruin my image)One of the best concerts that I've been to is Robbie Williams last summer. They had a gig at Knebworth park(summer 2003)and my best mate had a spare ticket and needed someone to go with...so I went to keep her company as I hated Robbie.
When we got to the place it was buzzing and it was a great feeling to watch a great performer come out on the stage the way he did.
I've got a new respect for him now.
To redeem myself the other best concerts I've been to are every time I go to see Alice Cooper...that guy just rocks(hope Aztec doesn't mind me borrowing his saying

)

I went to this Queen cover band afew months back. Its the closest thing to actually seeing the band play live. They did pretty good. But the best concert was AFI almost 2 years ago. It was their biggest headlining show. It was amazing. The entire crowd sang along word for word the ENTIRE time. Except for the losers, hahahah.
