In Geography a few weeks ago we had to do a project on Latin America, you know, Mexico and South America and such. My first thought: Mexico = Chupacabras!! So when we got the choice to do a project on anything related to Latin America, I did mine on Chupies. I added onto a webpage I'd already made and voila! I'm pleased to report I got an A+ on it.
If you want to see it, go to www.freewebs.com/badgerdemon/elchupacabra.htm. The teacher liked it so much I got to present it again in 4th period!
And on the Unit Test, for the last question, we were asked to put what we thought the overall best project was and why. Lots of people chose mine.

I made a cryptid essay in college for my sociology class got a B, because I made comparaision with "monster" and the human mind. As Vampires represent lust, werewolf represent freedom or the wilderness in mankind, and so forth.
I think criptids are a great subject because you learn about culture and makes you think about the humans place on earth.

It rocked! best work i produced out side design class.

Cool. We're studying Africa now so I most likely will do a webpage on the Mokele-mbebe. It's really interesting.

I've done several myself.
For college english class I wrote a 25 page report detailing commonalities in Bigfoot sightings in Oregon, Washington and California. Got a B+ on that mostly because the teacher thought I was wasting time on something non-relevant.
In Speech Class I gave a ten minute oral report about the Loch Ness monster.
I've done a few others but they were shorter and still got me A's. On the other hand I was known for off the wall papers and speeches. My favorite one being an explanation of how Warp Speed Technology (from Star Trek,) works. Included mathmatical formulas and quite a few diagrams.
I wish I had those reports - they would make good web pages, but alas Windows 95 crash several years ago lost those.

One thing I love about my school is that the teachers respect cryptozoology. Everyone in my class was fascinated by my project and I think I got many of my classmates convinced they're real. Even the smartest kid in the class, who's a real nerd, said his webpage project paled in comparison with mine.

Mainers....(excluding Loren Colemen or Coleman dont remember which) are so closed minded...

when i did my project the teachers and students just had more reasons to insult my inteligence.....

even though im smarter then more then half of them they just LOVE to insult me..

wether they mean to or not....

I think for all the units we do in Geography, my project will be on somthing cryptozoological. I already have a reputation as the Chupacabra girl. When I wore my Halloween costume to school, my entire Geography class thought I was a Chupacabra. I was a werewolf.

That is a good one...you should have just told them that you wanted to be a Chupa when you grew up...
When I was in the second grade I did a report on bigfoot, which was shortly after the patterson film. I did a crayon drawing of the famous clip of the patterson film...this was back in the days before computers, so crayola was about the best graphics I could muster at the time...

I did one way back in 1993 on Mothman and Chupacabras. I was sent to the school shrink and expelled for 3 days. It goes to show you that when you come from a rural town in Texas, that maybe you shouldn't do a Biology report on these topics.
